They were, at one time, delicious, but some fuck-up, let’s call him George, came along.

George decided the red delicious apples weren’t “red” enough, so he started to breed them so they became more red; however, as he did that, the delicious flavor was also bred out, but everyone thought they were better because they had a more consistent color.

They used to be delicious but not red, and now they are red but not delicious.

Indian scientists reported on the milk in the International Union of Crystallography Journal last week. One of the researchers took a taste and said it tasted like pretty much nothing.

In Super Mario Galaxy, whenever Mario drowns in a swamp, his hand reaches out from under the surface before being sucked in. However, since Mario’s head is so big, he cannot raise his hand above the surface without his head being still visible. To solve this, the game simply shrinks Mario’s head so it doesn’t interfere with the animation.

Georgia

Okay, Georgia has some serious flag drama going on. Sometime in the 1950′s they put the confederate flag on a portion of their flag. That lasted until 2001 when they finally decided that it was not something they wanted to be waving, but then they turned it into this atrocity

which still has the confederate flag on it! Not to mention four other better designs for flags than it! This flag right here was ranked as the worst flag out of all of the states in the country (and Canadian Providences). So they changed it to the current flag at the top, which is so much better, I can’t even describe.

But still there is room for improvement!

I removed the seal (you can’t see a seal waving in the wind), but I kept the golden color to highlight 4 of the 13 stars. This symbolizes Georgia being the 4th state to join the union.

Much improvement Georgia! Keep going!

My one problem with @redesigningtheunitedstates‘s redesign of Georgia’s flag is that it is so similar to the Confederate flag:

Don’t get me wrong, that’s a well designed flag! But if you’re trying to move away from the Confederate battle flag, you probably shouldn’t move towards the Confederate national flag.
