That One Awkward Fangirl

From what I know, Mark, Jack, Ethan, and Tyler are not uncomfortable with ships. With any ships. They don’t like seeing smut. They don’t like being forced to see disturbing things. They, however, ENJOY, seeing their fans express ideas and ships. They’ve said you can ship whatever you want! So to the people saying you can’t ship Tythan and Septiplier; you’re wrong. All of them are alright with it. The only thing they’re uncomfortable with is being FORCED to see it. When you shove it down their throats. NOT THE FANDOMS. THEIRS. THE ACTUAL PEOPLE INVOLVED IN SAID SHIP.

This probably won’t work but if any of you could agree with me on this, it’d be appreciated.

women eating actual food and not in a sexy way

an actual action sequence without tit shots or ‘sexy’ camera angles (which, fyi, was the hottest thing I have seen on the big screen this year)

a line-up where the standard gender ratio of 4-to-1 is inverted

Given the sudden interest for the color of dresses and vision, here some of the fascinating findings we did recently.

The color nuances we see depend on the number and distribution of cones (=color receptors) in our eye. You can check this rainbow: how many color nuances do you count?

You see less than 20 color nuances: you are a dichromats, like dogs, which means you have 2 types of cones only. You are likely to wear black, beige, and blue. 25% of the population is dichromat.

You see between 20 and 32 color nuances: you are a trichromat, you have 3 types of cones (in the purple/blue, green and red area). You enjoy different colors as you can appreciate them. 50% of the population is trichromat.

You see between 33 and 39 colors: you are a tetrachromat, like bees, and have 4 types of cones (in the purple/blue, green, red plus yellow area). You are irritated by yellow, so this color will be nowhere to be found in your wardrobe. 25% of the population is tetrachromat.

You see more than 39 color nuances: come on, you are making up things! there are only 39 different colors in the test and probably only 35 are properly translated by your computer screen anyway :)

It is highly probable that people who have an additional 4th cone do not get tricked by blue/black or white/gold dresses, no matter the background light ;)

There’s something about Studio Ghibli’s Water physics that I love

While it is a liquid, it tends to behave more gelatinously

Then we meet Hama, who due to years of torture and hatred has found a way to turn the classic gentler waterbending ways into a weapon of destruction and manipulation, and honestly I can’t think of a better way to introduce people to the fact that things are never as clear cut as they seem.  We’ve thought of waterbenders as the good guys up until this point, so it’s jarring to find out that no, despite stereotypes and traditions, there are always going to be good and bad people in every culture/group, but that’s the point of the entire show.

Someone–Stephen King? Pretty sure I saw this in a Stephen King foreword–once said they’d like to say to a brain surgeon, “Boy, I’d love to do brain surgery someday.”

We treat “the ability to put words into a sentence” like it’s just the same as “the ability to form a coherent narrative that engenders a variety of emotions within the reader and puts them in a scene and shows them what they didn’t see before”.

And that’s like me drawing a stick figure and saying I’m an artist.

Writers are constantly devalued because everyone thinks they have a book in them and don’t realize the level of skill and commitment it takes to finish even a short story, much less a whole book.
