To this day I still don't believe that anyone actually thought you could generate infinite chocolate via an optical illusion. That's a thing people tell themselves to feel superior
The defining feature of tumblr is not "the website where people actually think infinite chocolate is possible", it is defined by a group of people refusing to break kayfabe, another group being genuinely confused by an optical illusion (NOT the same thing as thinking infinite chocolate is possible) and a third group who is certain they are a lot smarter than the other two.
you got people arguing that trans people "have" to join the military or else they'll die and then i gotta hear about trans soldiers who are proud to serve and potentially "die for (their) country" ok which is it?
I will always advocate for resources that help people get out, and vet support that lets people live their lives after being in the military but you will not ever fuckin catch me fighting on behalf of the Trans Soldier i do not give a fuck
"they are preventing us from serving" good, your ass should have been throwing every exemption at them from the start.
I've got at least a decent amount of respect for anti-war vets, left-turn ex-military folks--any org, group, or person who does not support the military, but I've got a hell of a lot to say about anyone--trans folk included--who think they can fix the military from the inside, who think they can repair the image of trans people by being a jackboot thug for the state, or who think this is the only way they can be who they want to be, but I'll start here: fuck you
"well Chelsea Manning was a trans soldier" mhm and do we know her name because she was promoting how much of a girlboss trans people can be in the military or do we know about her because she very famously betrayed the system and the military and paid very heavily for it? And now her main gigs are DJing, speaking about her experience, talking about american gov corruption, and being part of protest actions--most recently getting arrested for a pro-Palestine demo.
She was a jackboot thug until she wasn't. I can forgive you for being one (having the luxury of not being one of your victims) when you use that opportunity to bring down the machine. If all you wanna do is insist you belong as a machine operator I've got nothing more to say to you.
Check back in with me when you leak state secrets or kill your commander or produce an expose. Until then, fuck you!
this is my suggestion
How do you find groups in the area? Like, searching "[insert state] anarchy" and seeing what pops up or something? I tried to look up unions in my area too but sometimes it feels like search enginges are purposely censoring them out. It's really hard to find if you don't have a specific name.
i might suggest trying a few different keywords (anarchy, anarchist, socialist, leftist, mutual aid, etc), it could also be a local chapter of a (inter)national group, or maybe find your local punk scene because there's often a good amount of overlap there, also checking out bulletin boards for events especially in places like the library and some artsy local businesses
strong suggestion for people to reblog with groups they have joined in their areas and/or how they found it
If we dont have one how would we create one
it's all about community, if you have a few friends that feel similarly then group with them and start doing stuff, create events that aid or educate, the black panthers started as 6 people following cops around with guns, find an issue that's important to you and do it, certain things could even be started solo, like creating a food forest in an unused plot of land, if you're helping people disentangle themselves from the capitalist system then you're doing my suggestion, no matter what scale
every so often i will come across a macklemore lyric that just… catches me so fucking off guard
throw back to this absolute gem. first lyric of the song.

Human sized dog beds are pretty nice though
Wruff…
I've slept in one and yeah they're awesome
a character being a perpetrator does not negate their victimhood and neither does their victimhood negate being a perpetrator. u can accept and reckon w both dimensions in ur analysis
there is nothing morally purifying about suffering or victimhood, it is not something that inculcates “goodness.”
one’s character has no impact on whether they were/are a victim or not, victim status is not something that is only afforded to the palatable.
it also does not = absolution.
ppl cant handle this in cartoons made for teenagers lets not get ahead of ourselves
stop using ai i need that water for my bong

ough
i put him in the saw bathroom
"I am not a vessel for your good intent" goes hard as a line from a disabled perspective. Abled people care so much more about being their idea of a good ally than they do actually being a good ally. They shove their good intent right down your throat and then act surprised when you tell them they're suffocating you.
[ID: An image of a sign with a blue background and with a graphic of a stick figure in a wheelchair at the beginning, resembling disabled parking space signs. The text below the stick figure reads "I am not a vessel for your good intent." /ID]
made a new banner image for this guy. spiritual successor to

thanks jimothy for continuing in the line of raccoons being a fitting symbol of resilience and also appearing on my sloppily made tumblr posters <3
Abortion is good. Abortion is important. Abortion is a life-saving medical procedure and should be celebrated as much as we celebrate the existence and success of things like surgeries to remove tumors.

________
You will be remembered as a hero. ________
For those wondering about the fox. Grace has a subtle motif with this animal throughout the movie, but especially this shot where they pack this toy fox with his belongings on the Hail Mary. The pose of it looked a little haunting to me, thus prompting this illustration. __________ (Small/large prints are also available on my etsy ❤️)
Not sure if it's intended, but now I'm having thoughts about "red strings of fate", and how they miss Ryland, going under him; the strings that do go to him are white, medical, life support. There's a whole crew of people trying to keep him alive, literally surrounding him, but he's asleep and doesn't get to talk to them or know that they're there.
Support the Gainesville Free Grocery Store!
(Not to be confused with the Gainesville Free Store, which you should also support)
From their website:
We are an all-volunteer mutual aid food pantry and garden based in Gainesville, FL. We support our communities’ right to healthy and nutritious food by distributing free food through delivery and in-person services, and by growing some of the food ourselves! We give out food for free to people dealing with food insecurity, no questions asked. We deliver food to folks who can’t leave their homes due to lack of transportation or disability. We grow veggies at the McRorie Community Garden! All produce is distributed through our pantries.
Hi! The city of Gainesville, Florida is one of the worst places in America to be homeless, but the good news is that it's also in the middle of an apocalyptic housing crisis. Large swaths of the city, including its remaining Black neighborhoods, are food deserts. The Gainesville Free Grocery Store distributes free food to the hungry and needy on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Civic Media Center at 433 South Main Street downtown, and they help a lot of people and are saving lives. They could use support!
From the website:
Donating Food
As of November 2025, we can accept food donations at Working Food (219 NW 10th Ave. Gainesville, FL) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10a-2p. If you have a larger donation you’d like to make but cannot come during those times, please email us to coordinate an alternate drop-off time.
You can also donate food on the same day as our food pantries at the Civic Media Center (433 S. Main St.) as early as 12 pm. On good weather days, you can drop off food in the courtyard, but please text us if you’ve left food so that we know and can bring it inside.
Guidelines for what we can and prefer to accept are as follows:
Packaged food – Must be unopened and unexpired
Canned proteins (beans, tuna, chicken)
Grains (rice, pasta, flour, cornmeal)
Shelf-stable milks
Oils (vegetable, olive, etc.)
Snacks (crackers, gummies, applesauce)
Ground coffee
Baby food
We always appreciate gluten-free products and vegan substitutes!
Fruits and vegetables
Must not be moldy or severely damaged
We welcome farm or garden-fresh vegetables!
Eggs
We cannot accept farm-fresh eggs due to food safety guidelines
Prepared food
We cannot accept fresh/homemade prepared food
If you’d like to run a food drive for us, email, Instagram DM, or call us!
Giving Money
Recurring donations help us create stability for people experiencing food insecurity. Recurring donations help us transform from charity and towards solidarity. $10 pays for a week of groceries for 5 families. $50 pays for a little more than a month for the same 5 families.
The easiest way to donate money is through our PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp.
...
Also reblog this post a lot! I'll try to remember to do a fresh reblog with times and dates when each event is announced, so don't forget to check the notes :)
