I love cooking things and then not sharing them with people. For me, cooking is really an act of disconnection and hatred.

Carrie Bradshaw is one of the most important stock characters in the public imagination. Idk She’s literally the modern equivalent of like a Lancelot …both sort of avatars for chivalry and the expense of love and Vice versa. Actually, Lancelots job and purpose in his context was to be chivalrous and noble (being a knight) but his flaw was being in love(Guinevere) Carries job and purpose in her context was to be in love and be fabulous (salacious columnist) but this was at the expense of her need to be noble and chivalrous(financially and socially responsible) both are cultural reflections that have evolved to legacy and myth. It’s easy to pigeonhole one as more frivolous than the other but it actually is scary to me how much sex and the city changed everything. The Carrie metaphor even works better now if you view her under the framework of being a protoinfluencer…..and how much the whole influencer phenomenon has captured the public imagination. Late 90s are the perfect setting for all of us to relate to as it was a bridge between yuppie culture and internet culture, and the remnants of that continue to lord over us. And just like that just doesn’t work …bc it tries to exist in this created world that most of us just don’t live in

i hate to admit this but i think if i were in a bad mood and spongebob were around i wouldnt be able to navigate that situation with the patience or grace it demands. and i worry he would blame himself
