PoliZâs WIP Update - 1 Jul 2026Â
Deadlines & a bit of inspo made for one of my best writing weeks in longer than I care to recall, with 1411 words (3 WIPs & 2 new fics). I also finished one Stuffed With Character figure and have 1 commission in progress, with another waiting on payment before I get started.Â
Real Life is still kicking my butt & will probably be doing so for the foreseeable future, so kind words of encouragement are always appreciated. Â
On Ao3, I posted:Â
Up On A Tightrope (one sideâs hate and one is hope) Chapter Two - No Powers Omegaverse AU (Alpha!Ty/Omega!Tony soon to be Beta!Bucky/Omega!Tony)Â
Making Things More Comfortable - omegaverse fluff ficlet (Alpha!Steve & beta!Tony)Â [previously on Tumblr]
Heâll Sleep When Heâs Dead - WinterIron established relationship fluff ficlet (featuring dark humor) [previously on Tumblr]
Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Chapter Two Canon-divergent IM2 IronHawk fic (smutty interlude)Â
Coming Soon to a Theater Near You - A Tony Stark Bingo Round Robin (June 2026) - Actor AU featuring Pepperony and DC Comic references.Â
On Tumblr I posted:Â
Guilty Pleasure - Established relationship WinterIron double drabble fluff.Â
PoliZâs Stuffed With Character (Fan Crafts)
My creative energy is being somewhat channeled into my Stuffed With Character hobby/sidegig - I may be renaming this blog to PoliZCreates to reflect thatâŚ.?Â
In addition to the projects listed below, I do have one commission slot open for July and another for August. Existing designs (with a few exceptions) are $25 (plus $7 for US shipping) while custom designs start at $30.Â
Commissions
Working on two commissions: Do-Re-Mi Flowers from Baby Einstein (3 finished, 3 cut and 2 to be cut) and a cool Edgar Allan Poe figure! (design complete, waiting on payment) Â
Upcoming Cons
Finished my semi-wonky prototype of Krypto, the Super-Dog and have a couple of new designs in the works for a comic con next month: Super-Girl, Spider-Noir and Tony Chopper. Will share sketches & finished figures as I go.   Â
Fandom Trumps Hate
For my Sci-Fi auction - I designed and sewed Anakin Solo and Tahiri Velia (Star Wars Legends) I also sewed Rey - sent and received, but I still need to make a separate post for the three of them! Â
See below for details on my writing project WIPsÂ
Iâm not sure how many people realize that thereâs a way in which hurt/comfort is actually very kinky, because at its core youâve got this emotional power exchange fantasy where one character is vulnerable and helpless and the other takes care of them. In the case of stories involving grievous injuries, where someone is bedridden for a long time, you often end up with two characters in a 24/7 total power exchange relationship without a safeword. It just doesnât involve as many whips and dog collars.
Can I?? Like burrow into your brain like an amoeba? I need to feed on more of this
Fandom in Color!
Welcome to Fanloreâs annual celebration of Fandom in Color! Throughout the month of July, weâll be spotlighting favorite characters of color, and highlighting pairings, events, discussions, and more.
Both characters and fans of color are often overlooked in fandom spaces, and weâre trying to expand their presence on Fanlore. We work on this year-round, but in July we ask specifically for your help by sharing and editing the pages we highlight this month and adding new ones that are not yet documented on Fanlore.
Fanlore should be inclusive of all aspects of fandom and all participants in it. We hope you enjoy what we share this month, and we welcome you to join us in documenting even more.
---------
We value every contribution to our shared fandom history. If youâre new to editing Fanlore or wikis in general, visit our New Visitor Portal to get started or ask us questions here!

How to do picture comments on Ao3; a Tutorial
Has a fic ever absolutely devastated you to the point you canât form a coherent thought? Thatâs okay! Thatâs where picture comments come in! Hereâs how!
The KIDS act (which contains KOSA) passed the US house, so I would recommend calling your senators and telling them to vote in opposition. I don't think I need to stress the importance of being able to use the internet freely and without privacy barriers being breached.
There are many scripts online you can follow, many ways to tweak your message to fit your senator (ESPECIALLY if they are up for reelection this year). Whether it's a recording you reach or a real person, be straightforward, don't argue, just let your rep know that you are a constituent and you oppose the KIDS act, etc.
Here is where you can search for your senator... call, email, fax, bring them physical letters, show up in person to their offices if you are able.
i just called both my senators offices and it took 30 seconds or less each. if youve never called before here's what to expect:
maybe hold music for like a minute most depending
someone usually picks up right away in my experience
someone who works in the office will be the one answering. they will ask for your zipcode, and what youre calling about (theyve got their customer service voice on, so it eases things a little for those who are nervous)
you can say "i'm calling as a concerned constituent and would like to submit a comment"
say your business. be straightforward, and honest, as the above suggests. you can say its dangerous.
afterwards you can say "that's all for today. thank you" and the call can be over
and tell your friends! do it while youre waiting on laundry, or otherwise in between tasks, on your lunch break, what have you. we got this
hi! i was going through your answered asks and previous posts where i saw you use the words proship/proshipper and profic. could you please define these terms? i've just heard them used a lot (not just on your blog but a few others too) and i'd like to know what they mean. as far as i understand it means that you're for shipping any and all characters with each other regardless of whether or not they have support from canon?
if you've already answered an ask similar to this i'm sorry
proship means âyou believe people can ship whatever they want even if the ship is taboo and controversial (like incest, an adult and a minor, or a sex offender and their victim, etc), even if you are personally uncomfortable with the ship. so proship covers everything, be it a canon and healthy ship, a non-canon ship, or a taboo ship. the core value is that you can separate fiction from reality and you basically mind your own business and let people ship whatever they want as long as no one in real life is harmed. so even if you personally find a ship disgusting, as long as you donât shame or harass people who enjoy the ship and just mind your own business, ignore/mute/block what you donât want to see, then by the definition youâre proship.â
being proship also means youâre against censorship and youâre against harassing real people over fiction.
proship and profic overlap a lot.
profic means the same thing as proship, the only difference is that while proship focuses on ships, profic focuses on fanfics. but their core values are the same thing: âcensorship is bad. donât harass real people over fiction. curate your own internet experience, mind your own business and let others do whatever they want as long as itâs fiction and no one in real life is harmed.â
You might say that the only ship proshippers are opposed to is the censorship.

anon in my inbox said fanfic writers who wrote about dark and taboo topics were not âreal writersâ because of what they wrote about.
reblog if you believe anon is wrong and writers are writers, no matter what they write about. no matter how they portray these taboo topics.
reblog if you believe art can be about topics that are controversial, taboo or outright disturbing, and artists who create controversial, taboo or outright disturbing art are as valid as artists who create art of conservative values.
reblog to laugh at anon âĄ

Governments around the world are censoringâand criminalizingâthe currents in which fanworks flow.
Our latest is live! âď¸ @bookshop reports on the increasing criminalization of creativity around the worldâespecially queer and/or erotic works, and including fanworks. Recent rulings against an Australian erotica writer and a Russian fic writer, the confirmation that danmei writer Mo Xiang Tong Xiu was imprisoned for her work, and growing repression in the U.S., where many global platforms for creative works are based, are all signals of just how worrying the current climate is:
With a barrage of new and expanded laws plus harsher enforcement of existing ones, governments around the globe are criminalizing more and more forms of creative expression. Itâs no longer far-fetched or hyperbolic to say that at any given moment, depending on what country youâre in and what government youâre up against, individual works of fictionâincluding fanworksâcould be criminalized for being queer, or pornographic, or generally deviant. How far the law typically extends seems to be entirely arbitrary, but in recent years, weâve seen regressive censorship and punishment nipping at the heels of fanworks. Online platforms and payment processors then often comply with these laws by instituting sweeping content bans, further marginalizing women, queer and trans people, and sex-positive communitiesâthe currents in which fandom flows.

The laws I learned about while researching this piece had me routinely going on flabbergasted rants to anyone who would listen. Fight for free speech and free expression wherever you are, because even in nominally safe countries, it's worse than you think.
