Like he becomes the stereotypical "alien" form. And like. They make little toys that look like him. There's kids with alien themed birthday parties where the erid-equivalent of balloons are like a shitty shape of grace. Every human in every eridian scifi novel wears glasses because they just assumed they all have those. Like. I love grace as a beloved teacher and scientist and savior of worlds with his face on statues and monuments but like. What if his face was on shitty tourist traps too.

Idk if he’s going to be the final boss, but he’s definitely going to be important. I feel like there’s been an uptick in people (mainly the new fans I suspect) expecting him to not be important, or to just be another silly guy to be “subversive” (as if the most ominous and mysterious character in the utdr-verse being just like every other silly character in it is breaking a mold and not enforcing one) and I can never vibe with that. I feel like the people making those predictions weren’t there during the og Undertale days, and don’t know what it was like to have the idea of Gaster feel so unsettling. Seeing Gaster take on an increasingly important role in DR has been so exciting for me as someone who’s been really invested in this character for a long time, and I don’t think it’s crazy to say that UT was hyping us up for a spooky villain, and I’m expecting a spooky villain.

Oh my god, Gaster’s freaking green and in between 😭
