Happy Birthday, S.U.E The Tyranosaurus Rex!
(Photo from the Field Museum)
Discovered by, and named after, Sue Hendrickson on August 12, 1990 in Faith, North Dakota.
SUE is the most complete and also the largest T-Rex fossil skeleton so far discovered- at 90% complete and 40ft long by 14ft tall. It's estimated that this dinosaur lived to 19 years old - only a few years shy of the average age of 25 years for T-Rex.
Currently shown at the Field Museum of Chicago, Illinois.
Also, I love it. Happy Birthday, SUE!
