Okay part 1 of Gormiti nature unleashed except everything is wrong and is it even the same property anymore? Co-written by my friend @technicallyastar
We are starting off with Noctis and the air kingdom! (Super simplified cause no one reads my 2000 word essays)
Okay so starting off like all the characters we keep the core traits, that being (this is literally from the wiki btw): overbearing, short-tempered, serious, stubborn, brave and egotistical. On top of that we are keeping him being the prince of the air kingdom, his daddy issues, and that need to be the centre of attention and in charge at all points.
So what are we changing? For starters all of the characters have been aged up to adults because the setting we have schemed up is much darker than the original and the way the gorm stones function is also very different and borderline body horror.
When watching the show (three times I should add) I noticed that Noctis is a character who is constantly presented with the idea of becoming evil and every time he considers it. So me and my darling bestie decided well letβs just make him evil for the first half of the story. As we have decided that the fire and air kingdoms are in a type of alliance as fire needs oxygen to burn and the whole alliance will likely be a separate post.
In the show Noctis is an all talk character, claiming to be very skilled but usually the first to be knocked down and since we are going the route of making him an antagonist for the first half he is an actual threat and generally a kind of terrible person. Perhaps you notice the lovely metal boots he is rocking and thinking βwell thatβs not very air feelingβ to which I say: listen.
In the show his inspiration is very much an eagle, but we decided to generally make the air people feel more angelic and have a wider array of bird influence. Thus we have decided that he does this thing where he flies up real high and literally swoops down and drops on people ultimately crushing them with the high speeds and the lovely armour pieces. As personally I feel that when you have a character that can fly within a story that fights, I would like to see that character get creative with such a skill.
Following this perhaps you are thinking why does he have fairy wings in some of those drawings? Well simple. His wings get ripped off by his father at a point because he starts to realise that he may actually be the bad guy, and thus starts his redemption. Where for a good chunk he doesnβt have his wings and his overuse of his form storm has left him in a very sickly state (as overuse of the stones in this rewrite can and will kill you), following this Agrom who is more of an inventor-blacksmith type character in this creates a pair of robotic fairy looking wings for him to use. (Will expand on further posts at a point.) This is also done as a reference to the og Gormiti show, as whilst I have never watched it, I saw that the air lord in that was a pretty pink fairy looking girl and I strongly believe that fairies make everything better.
How the gorm stone works is also important to explain here so I will. Essentially the gorm stones donβt just make the person bigger stronger and give them magic powers in this, it literally physically turns the holder into a force of nature. In Noctisβ case he can literally turn into the wind and air, summon powerful winds that can create tornadoes and bring in typhoons, and he has even started doing this thing where he brings a ton of swords into the sky and rains them down because that is cool. Likewise there are smaller more precise ways to use the stone, like creating smaller intense bursts of air that slice things, other airbending rip-off stuff, and just more things that are more opposing than βfurious wind twistβ.
Like I said this is it super simplified, and I will get into more at a point β¨ thx
Take a guess what this means
