every single episode felt like a build up. the two motorcycle accidents - one of the guys dying from head trauma, the two suicide attempts, his increasingly concerning behavior. chekov's guns were there and loaded and I was so scared that I became nauseous every episode. but then nothing severe really happened.

yeah his behavior was severe, yeah what was being insinuated was bad. sure, the talks he had with people were nice. but I wanted that man HURT. i wanted that man to leave on time and come back at hour 14 in that trauma bay CRASHING

not only would the lesson of healthcare worker burnout (and the many other problems w that man) be really ingrained in the story, but the angst would be historical. revolutionary. monumental.

his storyline was not bad, do not get me wrong. I loved it. I think I'm just sinister lmao

the 'seven-week-itch Robinavitch' is so important to me and i would kill for a good fic that focuses on that - him trying to pull that same stunt with Dennis, but Dennis is too stubborn to be pushed away (like Jack)

Like. Idk, saying that he was specifically targeting women, when we know why he was avoiding langdon and dennis, makes me feel some type of way idk.

he respects and adheres to dana's word and law for her nurses and there's a mutual bond, love and friendship spanning years

there's a lovely mentoring bond and respect with trinity as he guides her and looks out for her, making sure she's going to therapy and letting her be flexible with patients but checking in

he's encouraging to victoria and he knows how smart and capable she is, he doesn't want her to do what her parents want for her, he wants her to make her own choices and stick to what she does best

he considers mel to be one of his best medical students and tries his best to comfort her in times of high stress even if he can't quite make a breakthrough, but he still tries for her

there's a mutual respect and admiration for cassie who sees right through him and you can tell that scares robby but he's fully aware he can leave cassie to her own devices as she's fully capable and a brilliant doctor

there's a complicated relationship between him and samira resulting in him lashing out at her repeatedly, which she doesn't deserve, but it's not because he hates her but because she reminds him too much of himself and he hates himself

Okay so I was thinking, because of the nature of their shifts, Robby and Jack probably rely on text or leaving each other notes to communicate, especially when their sleep schedules are exact opposites. For things not as urgent, they probably prefer the analog way of writing things down.

For Jack, I’m picturing him writing on post-it notes and sticking them on the fridge, on their bedroom door, etc., for Robby to find when he wakes up. He probably has a stack of post-its on his night stand to write things down before he heads off for his shift.

For Robby though, he’s grabbing whatever pieces of paper he could find to scribble on, not caring what shapes or form they are in, as long as he can get the messages across. He would be putting pieces of tape on them so that he can slap these notes on random surfaces in their home for Jack to come across, a gift of pleasant surprises.
