Dennis didn't know why he went after Langdon. he knew the man for maybe a day and didn't really even talk to him, but Robby seemed to be very upset that he was gone and trinity seemed to hate his guts and neither gave him a clear answer on why. he figured he should find out himself, h wanted to see what kind of man Langdon was to inspire such radically different opinions.
it started with just looking for him on social media and he didn't really post, but his wife--soon to be ex-wife did, but he didn't get any answers. from what he could see frank was just a normal guy, but he supposed people only show their best online. so, he took more drastic measures. he went to hospital records and found the man's address and went to his house.
he wasn't there; he was at rehab. Dennis couldn't bring himself to visit properly, but he did send encouragement in the form of a note, unsigned to Langdon.
and Langdon, found out that Dennis lived with trinity and who hid cameras in Dennis's room before checking himself into a facility. originally because he wanted to see how things would develop without him watching him and knowing Dennis seemed to be Robby's new favorite (he wouldn't have been able to hide cameras in the hospital). spiral over him and thinking its adorable and wondering why he doesn't just come see him in person?

He's was clearly interested? guess he'll just have to up the anti even more
I like to imagine that Langdon and Whitaker hooked up atleast once and Langdon slipped Whitaker a benzo and it was the best sex either of them had. Neither of them will admit it because Frank has internalized homophobia and Dennis is just a wimp who doesnt want to admit he fucks.
