Jack and Robby locking Dennis out of the bedroom as they fuck. Like a real puppy. The pup scratches and whines at the door, whimpering out for his owners to let him in. Head fuzzy and cunt throbbing. The floor below him covered in slick and cum. Thigh's rubbing together as he listens to Daddy fucking into Sir. Muffled slapping noises and moans heard through the door as he presses his ear against the door. "F-fuck brother faster." Sirs Raspy voice escapes from the privacy of the room.
"shhh Jacky don't want the puppy to hear you and get spooked." Daddy grunts and the slapping sounds get closer together. Strange sounds getting louder making Dennis squirm. Hopefully soon his owners will let him play.

It looks like they’re dropping a teaser trailer for the new Harry Potter reboot tomorrow
Just a few important and gentle reminders:
🫶🏻 DO NOT WATCH THIS FUCKING SHOW 🫶🏻
If you claim you support human rights - not just trans rights but human rights in general - yet still plan to watch this show, unfollow me. You’re a fucking hypocrite and I don’t want you following me.
Do not watch it even if you’re hate watching it, it still contributes to streaming revenue and views!
The adults in this reboot of the franchise are FULLY accountable for choosing to do this show and accepting a pay cheque over supporting a minority group. Even if they claim they support trans rights, they’re cowards and don’t actually support them at all.
The kids do NOT deserve abuse or hate, whether it’s because you’re comparing them to Dan/Rupert/Emma or because you’re boycotting due to the author’s views. They are literal CHILDREN.
Your nostalgia over a children’s series about kids going to school is NOT more important than trans people being respected and having rights. As long as JKR is still alive, she profits off of this.
married!Rabbot both thinking the other is cheating with Dennis and being kinda mean to him as result, meanwhile Dennis is crying to Trin like "why do the Dilfs hate meeeeeeeeeee"
Him being the nice good Doctor he is, both Attendings begrudgingly grow fond of him. They separately go up to him like "Fine, you may have him but let me watch"
Dennis is understandably very confused (and turned on)
Trin knew what was going on all along but kept quiet for comedic reasons.
"He was the closest thing to a father I ever had." Well, that certainly bolsters my pet theory that Robby's an orphan who lost his parents young, which very well could explain his spectacular inability to be emotionally vulnerable with anyone. Especially if he felt it was his fault.

Nothing much has changed since my last letter, just how much I'm missing you. The days keep passing and I'm missing so much. I'm trying to find out if they can do a prison transfer. I hate being so far away from you both. Maybe you both can see me if that works out.
I'm glad to hear that you have made new friends, and found a better home with Trinity. That last place you were at must have been a nightmare if Jules had to keep quiet. Tell me the name of the landlord and I'll set his head right. It's good she can be as loud as she wants now, God knows Craig and Derran drove me, Baz and Julia up the wall when they were that age. My darling girl deserves to find her voice.
She gets more beautiful in every photo you send. You both do. I can't wait to see you again, Dennis. I can't wait to hold her in my arms. It's gonna be sooner than you know it, I promise.
Still haven't heard back from Cath. Thought she might be able to help or something. Wanted to see how Lena was doing as well. I know it probably won't happen, but imagine if they could meet. Baz would never go to Pittsburgh though, and I don't think Cath would want to cross the country just so Jules and Lena can meet.
I've been writing to Julia as well. Smurf doesn't know about it. No one does. Just you and Jules. I want her to meet you both. She has a son, Joshua. It's a lot of 'J' names, so Jules may get confused, but I'm sure they would both love to meet such a lovely girl. She hasn't responded to any of my letters yet, wondering if I got the address wrong, but if she does maybe we can head to Pittsburgh together when I get out. Could be a fun road trip, Me, Julia, and Josh. It's a long drive, but it would be nice. It would be a bit weird though. Last time I saw Josh he was 7, now he's a teenager. I was a nightmare when I was a teenager, and the only kid I've spent time with recently was Lena when she was 3. Josh is probably a good kid though.
Maybe we can head out Nebraska way when Jules is older. We won't need to go all the way west to Broken Bow, just keep near Lincoln. She might like seeing the state where her daddy was raised, and you can give me all the country boy food you love. I know I complained about it before, but nothing can be worse than what I've eaten here, I promise. I also wouldn't be against seeing you ride a horse. Soon.
I finished that book you sent me as well. Promise me that you will never read this to Jules, she does not need to know this heartbreak. I no longer regret dropping out, I wish I dropped out earlier so I didn't have the ability to read that. (Please let Jules know that this does not mean she can skip out on story time or drop out of school at any point. I want her to get into college like her daddy.)
I spoke to another inmate who has a kid and he recommended the book 'Guess how much I love you' for Jules. Said his kid loved it when he was little, still does. He's 8 now. Hoping his dad will be out to see his 10th birthday. Hopefully I can read it to Jules soon. Trying to look for the good, like you said.
I've seen more discussion on ICE in The Pitt, about how different characters handled it, how others may have, how they could have handled it, how they could have saved Pranita. But I think a lot of these perspectives come from A) a more soap-opera like view of the Pitt that isn't the show's reality, or B) not understanding the reality of ICE.
For one, horrific fact: There was no saving Pranita, and any attempts to do so could have resulted in a lot more arrests, or worse, them calling more agents in to handle the unrest. Unfortunately Robby telling McKay to treat her and let her go was the absolute safest thing they could have done for Pranita and themselves.
They call a lawyer for her and it works? Okay, well, let's walk into the waiting room and see who else we can grab instead. Let's grab a patient leaving. They call her family somehow and her family comes? Now her family is under arrest too. They fake a illness/injury that could get her admitted? Well, they know where she is/who her doctors were and can come back, and while they wait, they can grab a few patients to take then come back for her.
This is how ICE works and thinks. Honestly, given what they've said and had to cut, they were likely more realistic (aka violent) in their arrest of Jesse.
Another horrific fact: there is a non-zero chance they were going to leave with just Pranita. 100% they would have found someone else to take while waiting for her or leaving with her, and it's simply by there only being two of them and Jesse stepping in that it was Jesse.
Was Robby's speech reckless? Yes! Was it the reason everything after happened? No. They were probably going to drag Pranita out anyways if it took any longer or if someone else pissed them off. Again, if they let her finish getting treated, Jesse not stepping in, they would have found someone else.
This is how ICE works. This is the reality.
There is no "Jack would step in": he couldn't even stop police from trying to arrest McKay. He's a SWAT medic. That's it. ICE doesn't even listen to city officers or state troopers. They don't listen to the laws. There is no super special lawyer to send ICE away or gets them arrested. There is no connections someone has somewhere that sends them out empty-handed.
the pitt fandom is so fucking frustrating because i absolutely love criticizing the tv shows i enjoy!! genuinely one of my favorite things to do with my family is talk about a show we just watched for longer than the episode's runtime; it's fun!! but then 90% of the pitt fandom's critiques are based on things that are simply bad faith interpretations at best and antisemitic conspiracy theories at worst, so a lot of the time even reading other people's well-intentioned criticism isn't fun for me because like every other critical post i'm getting hit with bullshit like "noah wyle is the root cause of all the flaws in the pitt and he needs to be killed. source: it was revealed to me in a dream"

andrew had moved in with his estranged brother jack several months ago. he’d gotten a job as a security guard at the hospital and was enjoying it. it was easy, for one. and steady.
what andrew, formerly pope, was not prepared for was the cute people who worked there.
they were all, every last god damn of one them, the most large, beautiful eyed people he had ever met. like the whole fucking place was run by people with big eyes that seemed to get wet at an instant, or soulful, or pouty, or… he didn’t know. and he was always getting paged for incidents. which usually meant one of his big ass eyed staff members was making their eyes Even Bigger. in fear or stress or hurt. at some point andrew had had to ask himself if his own eyes were big, and if they got watery like that all the time, too. but andrew, formerly pope, knew his affect after 40 years.
andrew knew he looked scary and dead most of the time, like a mutt that hadn’t slept all night. like he was angry that sound existed.
well. at least jack had helped with that. he was sleeping better. his meds made more sense for his body and mind. and of course, less acute stress in pittsburgh. and somehow less ptsd, too. jack’s basement was the most metal fucking home gym andrew had ever seen. he and his brother had bonded down there, had worked out when they couldn’t sleep. god it felt good.
at the moment, andrew was hauling a man off of earnest. it was his nickname for the resident named dennis whitacker. earnest looked up at him, those big blue eyes shining as he said his thanks, a hand resting at andrew’s elbow. andrew shrugged, still holding the guy down by the back of the neck. lowly, he asked, “what do you want me to do with him?”
earnest’s big eyes looked even bigger. fuck’s sake. could these people fucking blink?
“let’s get his restraints on. he still needs stitches,” dennis finally said.
andrew made it happen, even when the guy got loose and punched him in the face. that made andrew mad. really mad. but he shook it off and went to the break room for five and some ice. he was icing his face, grumpily he knew, when dennis came in with something in his hands.
“here,” earnest said, eye huge and grateful and earnest. “i um. i cleaned them, just now. so. um. they’re bluetooth and noise canceling. you can wear them for the rest of your break if you want.” he lifted them halfway to andrew’s head, big blue eyes waiting for permission.
andrew glowered. nodded curtly once.
dennis gulped and slid forward on one foot and slipped them over andrew’s head deftly. at first it didn’t sound different than any other headphones he’d ever had on. but then earnest flipped a switch on the side. oh. God. andrew felt his eyes roll back slightly at the sensation. he knew he had groaned. heard it in his head.
“these,” andrew said as if drunk, his voice sounding loud yet muffled, “are nice.”
earnest grinned, ducking his head in a nod.
andrew appreciated the man in great detail—for the first time—as dennis managed to turn pointing a thumb over his shoulder into a full body gesture of i gotta get back. nervous and goofy and so… andrew sighed as earnest left. he enjoyed the rest of his break in absolute peace. he was getting some of these for himself. asap.
that night andrew drove to the nearest mall and got the most expensive pair. old habits.
he spent a lot of time with his new black headphones. and they felt so good. and he found himself thinking of dennis more. the next time everyone decides to go to a bar, andrew asked if he could join. apparently they were going to a gay bar. a queer bar, as trinity said.
okay. sure.
trinity and dennis and samira and mel and, surprisingly, langdon, made a pretty good group. but langdon left early because of kids, and mel left because of her sister soon after, and samira winked at a girl and then they were making out in a dark corner of the bar, and it was just trinity and dennis. dennis offered to go get their third round of beers and trinity slapped him on the back. “thanks huck.”
“why do you call him that?” andrew asked as dennis slid out. he could see dennis shaking his head out of the corner of his eye.
“because he is,” trinity said, grinning, “a huckleberry. you know? he’s down to earth, clueless, earnest.” she waved expansively.
he nodded. “in my head i call him earnest,” he admitted.
she barked a laugh. “because he’s got the biggest saddest bluest eyes and he uses them all the time?”
“and because it sounds like a hick’s name.”
trinity grinned. “mr earnest huckleberry. he’ll love this.”
“doctor earnest huckleberry,” andrew refuted. “put some respect on his name.”
that must have surprised trinity because she was belly laughing and slapping the table. he didn’t think he had been all that funny but, this was good, too.
dennis came back with a man in tow, each carrying two beers. dennis slid in beside trinity and andrew was left to sit hip to hip with a guy who… looked fine. he was normal looking.
“who’s this?” trinity asked.
“steph,” the man said, reaching across the table and shaking trinity’s hand. he must have noticed andrew’s typical glower because he eyed andrew out of the corner of his eye as he shook trinity’s hand.
dennis piped up to clear the tension, “steph bought our beers.”
andrew held his hand out, low, for a handshake.
steph took his hand. andrew did not squeeze his hand too hard. but he did deeply want to put hand sanitizer on now.
“so,” trinity said, “huck use his big sad eyes on you?”
steph laughed. he was probably 35. he was balding a little. and he needed a haircut. so dennis liked them older? or was this about the money?
dennis pouted. “i did not.”
andrew piped up. “yes you did.”
“what? were you watching?”
“no. i just know your face.”
trinity grinned like a wolf, leaning over the table to look at dennis more directly. “yeah. he does. he has a nickname for you, too, apparently.”
dennis gaped.
steph’s eyebrows were raised.
andrew frowned. was dennis really into this guy? he could wingman a little, he supposed. he turned to steph slightly. “look at him,” he commanded.
steph did.
andrew continued. “look. his eyes are a great color, man.”
steph nodded.
trinity joined in. “yeah, your next nickname should be baby blues.”
dennis was blushing, looking between the three of them. he squeaked out a, “what do you call me? andrew?”
andrew glanced at steph, then back at dennis. “i call you earnest. because your eyes are always doing that,” he gestured to dennis’s face with his beer.
“doing what?”
andrew gestured again. “looking like you want to know my middle name, too, every time you ask a question.”
that made trinity and steph laugh and dennis blush even harder. dennis protested.
“no, you do,” andrew argued.
“is it that obvious?” dennis mumbled.
trinity laughed, elbowing him. “it’s that obvious.”
“what’s obvious?” steph said, wiping his eyes.
dennis put his head on the table and trinity was laughing again.
andrew cocked his head. he was missing something. steph was clueless because, well, he was a stranger. but this… obvious. that dennis was earnest? or… ????
steph’s confused look stopped. he looked at trinity, then at andrew, expectantly. “you gay?” steph asked. it was a warm question, but also a challenge. why?
andrew shrugged. “never really thought about it.” but with the change in meds… well. his sex drive had… well. it had kind of returned. “i’m gonna get some air.” he clinked his beer against steph’s beer. “enjoy his baby blues.”
steph gave him a weird look but andrew shrugged it off. swigging down the remaining two thirds of his beer and tossing it in a bin. he was out the door. it opened but it didn’t shut. when he turned, there was earnest, looking up at him as he let the door shut softly behind him.
dennis swallowed. “what did you mean?”
“about what?” andrew’s breathing already was regulating with the quiet of the night.
dennis hesitated. “about being. um. you said you’d never really thought about it.”
andrew looked at the flamboyant neon signs in the windows, advertising it as a place for queer people. well. what was queer? he shrugged. “i don’t know. i… i really never had the chance to think about it.” he couldn’t look at dennis. he had been thinking about dennis. had been… had been stroking himself one night while jack was at work. had pictured those baby blues…
dennis sighed, kicked at an imaginary rock. “were you, um, trying to wingman for me? back there?”
“yeah.”
“why?”
andrew shrugged. “thought you liked him.”
“he’s not really my type.” and the way those big blue eyes were looking at him, approaching him.
andrew felt that his air supply was low. he had a strange thought. like, if he had been an astro sight. in space ship. he would go check that out before it got concerning. because his chest was constricting in this weird way as dennis stepped closer. like how. like. dennis was looking up at him. andrew had the dual urge to fist his dick into dennis’s mouth. and also to tilt his head back and kiss him. and also to run. a triple urge. uh. andrew knew he was looking at dennis’s mouth. he blinked hard. “i… feel like i… need to put my…” dennis’s lips had parted just a touch. “uh. headphones…” andrew looked to dennis’s eyes. so openly needy.
andrew shook himself. stood up straighter. cracked his neck.
dennis stepped back, flushing. apologizing.
but andrew was already backing dennis up, hands on his slender waist, his leg slotting between dennis’s legs, his arms caging the neon lights around dennis’s head.
dennis was breathing hard, his hands fluttering for purchase around andrew’s hips. and as dennis’s hands settled against andrew’s sides, andrew felt flush with it all. that grip was so grounding, and so heightening.
andrew leaned down, nosed at dennis’s cheek, teasing.
dennis panted against his mouth. andrew could feel the vibration of the music in the glass under his forearms, could feel dennis grinding down on his leg, just a little tremor of need against his thigh. but then dennis’s hands were cupping the meat of andrew’s thigh near his hip, and dennis was pushing himself higher, humping andrew’s thigh and seeking andrew’s mouth again. needy needy puppy.
andrew grinned, pulled back. his body was lighting up like a christmas tree, the present whining underneath him. he could feel his dick hardening, could feel his abs straining for want. earnest was just a needy little puppy. of course. “we should go back to mine,” andrew murmured. “come on.”
they took an uber on andrew’s dime. he figured he wasn’t paying rent, so. why not? andrew kept dennis tucked into his side the whole ride home. dennis tried to be good, but at some point he pushed his noise into andrew’s shoulder. it lit andrew up again. the soft little breathing sounds through the shirt, the feel of the warm air on the sensitive skin near his armpit.
dennis laughed when he got into andrew and jack’s home and saw the kind of sweet dadchelor pad they had. sports and military paraphernalia on the walls. pictures of jack with his late wife, with robby, with his friends. andrew sighed. “he’s been encouraging me to decorate.” andrew pointed to a framed painting of a gorgeous beach in the entryway. “he hasn’t asked since i picked this out and ruined his mojo.”
dennis laughed, backed andrew back up against a wall. “you’d look good on the beach.” dennis kissed him against the edge of the painting till andrew was painfully hard in his jeans. dennis didn’t let up, just slipped a hand into andrew’s pants.
andrew threw his head back and hit the frame. he had to fling an arm out to catch the painting from hitting the floor.
“easy, baby,” dennis purred. “you just bought that.”
andrew nodded dumbly as dennis stroked him. andrew managed to say, “yeah. let’s move it to my room.” dennis raised a brow as andrew lifted the painting and simultaneously grabbed dennis’s wrist to keep the man’s hand on his dick. “both.” he groaned pathetically. “please.”
dennis tugged andrew by his cock into the living room, down the hallway to the bedroom at the end of the very end of the hall. andrew felt like he could come in a matter of strokes at every stroke. dennis had completely switched. in charge. like at the hospital. andrew wanted this. he also wanted dennis to be a needy little rutting puppy on his thigh. what? this was all too new for his brain. he dumped the painting near the wall and kicked the door shut.
dennis sunk to his knees, opened his mouth. the sticky warmth of a tongue pretty pink tongue in the near dark. oh fuck. dennis took him all the way down, making hot constricted choking noises.
andrew cursed as he felt dennis’s throat convulse on the head of his dick. he was whimpering and groaning and trying not to fuck dennis’s face against the floor or against a wall or fuck fuck FUCKING FUCK. andrew cried out, cumming hard and feeling dennis’s throat swallow him down and oh god his legs were giving out.
andrew slipped out of dennis’s mouth and into dennis’s arms, sort of. dennis prevented andrew’s head from smacking the floor. that was nice. andrew blinked up at dennis, who was grinning wickedly down at him. andrew reached up, cupped dennis’s face. he had to blink a few times to focus on those big, devilish eyes. “what,” andrew mumbled, “did you just do to me?”
“it’s called a blowjob,” dennis quipped.
andrew smiled slowly. “so. the earnest thing is an act, huh? you never joke this much at work.”
“yeah if i let my true self out at work i’m HR’s worst nightmare.” dennis grinned down at him. “look whose being earnest, now.”
andrew felt a blush rising. he felt so dopey. like he’d hit a sweet mellow joint on the beach after surfing all day. like he’d just nearly fainted from his first real blow job. he was incapable of snarking back at this point. “that was really good,” he said.
dennis laughed. “yeah?”
“yeah.”
dennis leaned down, huffing laughter into andrew’s mouth. he smelled like beer and cum. that made andrew’s brain lock in. he wanted to taste cum. their cum couldn’t taste that different? he pushed up into dennis’s mouth, kissing and licking and biting until he was sprawled on top of dennis, his hand snaking down into dennis’s pants, enjoying the salty sour taste of beer and cum and a wet eager mouth moaning underneath him.
pope got his hand down there and found… um. not a dick. he pulled dennis’s pants down. “man. where is it?”
dennis blushed. “honestly, i thought you had noticed by now.”
andrew pressed his fingers to it. to the enormous clit poking out from his bush.
dennis hissed and tried to close his legs. but then he was panting, trying to get more friction. he was wet.
well. andrew knew how cunt worked. well. ?? did he? “um, is there anything i should know? like… for sex?”
dennis was panting. “yeah, just, uh. i can still can pregnant. so we should use a condom because of that, too.”
“are you clean?”
“yes.”
andrew ran two fingers through the slick and then rubbed his knuckles over the clit till it was slotted neatly between his two curled fingers.
dennis was whining. “will you? uh.” he was panting. “do you like giving head?”
andrew raised a brow. he had never liked the smell of pussy much. “you want me to suck your clit?”
“yes please!”
andrew nodded, pulled dennis pants all the way off and, without asking, picked dennis up and dumped him on the bed before pulling his legs to the edge of the bed and sinking his mouth down. dennis was musky, but without having to be in the pussy itself it was actually pretty alright. andrew imagined if dennis was fresh out of a shower it could even be great. he liked sucking on the overgrown clit, the way it stiffened and twitched when he ran his tongue over the head of it. he could feel the flare of a cock head under his tongue. wow. and craig had said you could always tell when someone was trans. yeah right.
dennis’s legs tightened around his head.
andrew realized he himself was hard again. wow. new meds were cool.
dennis mumbled, “finger. please,” as he bucked into andrew’s mouth.
the wet tight heat of dennis’s cunt around his middle finger did crazy things to his dick. dennis groaned. andrew sucked harder, pulsed his finger faster, was rewarded with socked feet pressing to the back of his shoulders, urging for more. he pulled back and slipped another finger in.
“fuck! i need you. andrew! andrew please fuck!”
andrew took a last lick before pulling back. “condom?”
“dresser.”
they both stripped completely and dennis took andrew by the shoulders as he lined up with dennis’s core. dennis threw his head back as andrew pushed inside.
they were both babbling curses as andrew finally slid home.
dennis’s nails sunk in on andrew’s first thrust.
oh! that felt– “do that,” andrew gasped as he thrust again, and felt dennis’s nails again, “your nails.”
dennis pulled back, apology in his stiffness.
andrew shuddered at the loss. “no. no i like. i…” he had to catch his breath. the nails had felt so good. “the scratching is great.”
“oh,” and dennis’s hands were back on him, carding lovingly through his curls as andrew began again. as soon as he was thrusting again, dennis’s nails were digging in, pulling andrew down so they were sweaty chest to sweaty chest.
andrew groaned. the sweat of their bodies and the closeness and the crushing pull of dennis’s arms and the vice of his man pussy. fuck. andrew worked his arms under dennis’s shoulders and held him as dennis clawed at his back like a wild thing. god it felt good. andrew was sure he was going to cry from how good it felt. dennis’s cunt was opening for him like a flower. wider and wetter and deeper. he cursed into dennis’s neck, pausing, certain he was going to cum again if he didn’t stop.
“don’t stop,” dennis pleaded, his insides fluttering and jerking around andrew in desperation. “andrew.”
“i– baby. you feel so good. i-” he took a steadying breath- “i’m gonna blow too early if…” he couldn’t finish his thought because dennis was levering them over so dennis was on top.
dennis looked down at him, gyrating just right. fuck! dennis moaned and said, “you’re so perfect. god. i’m gonna get you a cock ring so i can make you suffer all night.” he punctuated that with a tight roll.
andrew had to bite his wrist to stop from yelling. dennis kept saying filthy things. all the nastiest things he had planned. how he was going to give andrew head on his lunch break. how he was going to work andrew open and fuck him with a strap till andrew’s legs didn’t work. how he was going to use andrew’s cock for his own pleasure whenever he felt like it. none of it was helping andrew. his balls were so full, drawing up and relaxing with every roll of dennis’s hips.
dennis started bouncing, going faster. “i should make you cum and keep riding you till you cry,” dennis taunted. “would you like that?”
andrew nodded frantically. yes. he did want that.
dennis moved faster, putting his hands in andrew’s pecs and squeezing for leverage as he fucked himself back on andrew. faster and faster.
andrew’s hands flew down to dennis’s waist. he heard dennis say, “help yourself, baby.” and andrew was bucking up into dennis, making dennis groan and praise him. “that’s it! fuck, andrew!”
andrew came. hard. again. he was glad he was laying down. especially when dennis didn’t stop, just kept rolling his hips and bouncing.
andrew braced himself, fisting the sheets with the need to pull out. he realized he was crying as dennis leaned forward and licked the tears off his face. “stop! stop.”
dennis did, pussy pulsing on his limp cock.
“thank you,” andrew gasped through his tears. he pulled dennis to his chest. “thank you.”
dennis kissed him, slow and hot as he lifted his hips off.
andrew gasped at the cold air. oh. god he wanted to be back inside!
“i know, baby,” dennis cooed, settling next to andrew.
had andrew said? said? something out loud? he must have because dennis was stroking his face lovingly and telling him they would do it again in the morning. neither of them had work.
“jack will be home,” andrew said sluggishly.
dennis hummed. “you think we can keep it in our pants?”
andrew blinked at the dark ceiling. he had just cum like a teenage boy twice. and dennis was showing no signs of needing to stop. maybe he should start paying rent.
smurf sets them up. she finds a girl perfect for her eldest son. one who might hopefully get him to settle down with a girl, stop going on about this nonsense. she could always see it with deran, but pope was so… well, he needed the right girl.
they go for a few months, neither of them are happy. its pope who breaks first, though not purposely to dennis. he doesnt quite register the front door closing or the footsteps. pope’s self-soothing in the bathroom, tugging at his hair as little choked up sobs force their way out. he’s so fucking tired. he doesnt want to let this girl down, she really seems nice, and she’s into him clearly. he thinks shes nice, and different, but he sees the long hair and the way her tits sit when they fuck and it turns him off all over again. it makes him think about smurf and he wants to throw up everytime— which he doubts would be much of a confidence booster for any girl.
its just all so fucking lonely, and his head feels too big and empty, hes all alone up there and it drives him crazy.
soft, small hands pry at his own and he jolts up. his head is pounding something terrible and guilt crushes him when he wishes the hands were rougher, bigger, belonging to a boy.
“pope, whats the matter? are you hurt?” shes asking, and he can feel her eyes trace along his body, looking for injuries. its too noce, too thoughtful, to be wasted on someone so ugly and twisted out of shape. pope shakes his head and the stupid nickname eats at his skin like a ravenous dog. everything hurts so much.
“im not— i cant— ‘s andrew.” his voice is shaky and scared and all scratchy. hes so goddamn pathetic for getting so choked up. he cant even break up with a girl he cant love. hes pulling at his hair again, hard, despite this girls best attempts to stop him.
“okay. andrew. can you take a deep breath for me.” her voice sounds clinical now, almost professional. he thinks shes training to be a doctor, so this is her patient voice. he does it anyway, wanting this to be over.
“we have to break up.” he eventually manages to say it. this is the part when she gets mad, probably. he wouldnt blame her. he expects that quiet sort of rage, the calculating kind where shes plotting to keep him where she wants him. no doubt if this girl fails, his mother will succeed, and he’ll end up right back here.
“why do you say that, andrew?” he feels like hes crazy. his girlfriend certainly seems to think hes gone mad.
“im— i cant— i cant fall in love. with you. im not right.” his voice cracks on the last word and this is maybe the most humiliated hes ever felt. beneath all of that, buried somewhere he cant even recognise, is fear. so, so much fear.
when she asks what isnt right, he just whimpers.
“andy… are you gay?” the voice is quiet, almost as worried as he is about asking. he doesnt meet her eyes when he nods.
theres silence for a long time in the bathroom, save for pope’s occasional sobs.

Dennis has a hard time asking for what he wants in bed because he’s too shy (or repressed) to say it out loud so Robby and Jack sit him down between them and make him show them the porn he watches to get ideas. It’s mortifying enough before they start asking questions.
‘You like that, baby? Is that something you wanna try?’
‘What about this one gets you excited?’
Dennis doesn’t know if he wants to cum in his pants or burst into flames.
every few years, ptmc employees need new badge photos. it's a very standard workplace proceedure. they're allowed, however, to take the photos themselves and submit them online to the admin department, as long as they're in hospital attire and against a white wall with good lighting. fine- it's much quicker than having people do it on site when they need to work.
for dennis and robby, picture day ends up being their favourite. it was robby who'd had the idea, dirty old man that he is, yet dennis had agreed wholeheartedly and with a delighted (and, hungry) grin when robby divulged his plan. ptmc only needed photos from the shoulders up, and well. that meant anything could be happening underneath the bottom of the frame...
both men end up submitting pictures of themselves where they look a little flushed... hair a little unruly... smiles a bit too big for a work admin shot... no one says anything though, the pictures simply get put onto their new badges and everyone moves on.
they know, though. they know that robby had such red cheeks because dennis was deepthroating him to such an extent that his cheeks were puffed out and drool was dribbling down his chin, making him gag and slurp and suckle all over robby's cock. they know that dennis was smiling so wide because, just below the shot, robby had taken dennis's cock in his hand and was jerking him off, slicked up with his own precum and with the older man tonguing at his slit as the camera flashed above him.
they know exactly how naked each other was from their waist down. it will be an interesting plan to work out how they'll make the next ones even more salacious.

Baby Julia Grace Whitaker was born 6lbs 2oz at 3:42am on Wednesday the 21st of February 2024. After she came into the world, she was given to a tired and lonely Dennis Whitaker, both of them missing her daddy.
Their only connection to him was through letters sent and received twice a month and occasional phone calls. Dennis fought his way through med school, a baby on his hip, praying Andrew would get back to them before Jules was old enough to remember his absence, terrified of what the man would think of the life they were forced to live whilst he was gone.
He knew Andrew would never hate him for being homeless, he’s just not sure the man would ever forgive himself.
The early years of Jules’ life would not be remembered as smooth or easy, forever bearing the weight of two fathers who couldn’t catch a break.
Julia was newly 18 months when Trinity Santos found them.
The eighth floor was far from ideal - everything about these past few years had been far from ideal - but it was safer than shelters. And Dennis could easily pick up and drop her off at the in-hospital nursery - which also provided meals and snacks throughout the day. It was the best he could make of their circumstances.
He had finally settled Jules’ down, cradling her, holding a bottle of stolen milk to her as she suckled sleepily. When he caught sight of Trinity from the corner of his eye, his body jolted in shock, nearly ruining his hard work.
The hushed conversation that followed was humiliating for Dennis, stumbling over an avoidance of where her other parent is. He was lucky that the day had been as shit as it had been otherwise Trinity might have kept pushing for answers. Instead, she heaved a sigh, moving to collect his things. Dennis began panicking, asked what the hell she was doing. She just replied “I’m not leaving you and Huckleberry junior up here. If you die, I couldn’t deal with the guilt” with an eye roll, offering up her spare room for the two of them.
Together, they collected the sparse belongings, and rode the bus back to her place.
A couple weeks later, Trinity bought Jules a car seat.
It was weird, having a permanent home again, not having to hide food, being able to sleep through the whole night without darting awake in fear that they'd be found. Jules was thriving in the new found safety as well. Dennis no longer had to feel bad about quieting her when she played or cried. Trinity seemed to breathe life into both of them.
He even ended up saving money, closing his PO box once he gave Andrew their new address.
Unfortunately, as he soon learned, Trinity was endlessly nosey.
Maybe it was a fuck up on his part, not telling her about the Oceanside of it all. He should have. But he didn't.
It all came out when the first letter arrived at their place. He was in the living room, lying on the rug whilst Jules used his body as a climbing frame having grown bored of her building blocks, whilst Trinity ran out to the store for some raspberries (Jules' current food fixation). The woman burst into the apartment, startling both Whitaker's with her shout of "Huckleberry!"
Dennis had fully sat up by the time Trinity came into the living room, holding the curious baby on his lap. She stood before them, glaring down at him, one hand on her hip, the other holding a stack of mail, waving it about, "Why the fuck do you have a letter from Richard J. Donavan Correctional Facility?!"
Dennis' face fell, and he hauled him and Jules up from the ground, reaching forward to snatch the letter from Trinity. Jules, getting increasingly more verbal now she had the freedom to be loud, noticed the letter and began a babbling "Da da da da."
The look Trinity sent him could have killed a weaker man. Probably would have killed him a few weeks ago before he built up an immunity. She was deadly still as she gritted out, "Huckleberry. Please do not tell me that this is a letter from Jules' other parent." At Dennis' silence, Trinity slapped his shoulder, "Dennis! What the fuck!"
Dennis adjusted Julia on his hip, gently pulling the blue envelope from where she was attempting to teeth on it. Trinity whacked his arm again, and he caught her wrist before she hit him a third time, slightly scrunching the letter up. “Trinity, please. Just sit down, let me read her this letter before she gets impatient, then I’ll tell you everything. I promise.”
Trinity gave a reluctant nod of acceptance then turned on her heel, stomping into the kitchen. And, just like they always did, Dennis snuggled up with Jules pressed against his chest, and he read aloud the careful words Andrew wrote for them. Once the letter was finished, Dennis put a sleepy Jules into her crib, pressing a quick kiss to her forehead, pressing the letter into his bedside drawer to lie with the others, before bracing himself for the confrontation with Trinity.
He found her in the kitchen, cleaning up heavy-handedly which reminded him painfully of his childhood. He fucked up.
"I'm sorry for not telling you. I just. I couldn't risk us losing this if you found out."
Trinity's movements stilled. She braced herself against the counter, back tense and a white-knuckle grip on the cloth she was using, letting out a terrifying sigh. "You really think I would do that to you? To her?"
Dennis sensed he fucked up. Again. "No. No! Of course not! It's just. We've been thrown out for less before, and, and she's so much better here, happier. I just. You never know, and I wasn't going to trust what I believed. I couldn't take that chance. I couldn't do that to her."
Trinity let out another sigh, and Dennis shifted, reaching up to scratch at his arm. "What did he do?"
He sighed. This was always where he lost people. "Just armed robbery."
Trinity whirled around, the cloth still in her hand dripping water in a neat arch as she spun, "'Just' armed robbery! What the fuck!"
"Okay, okay, maybe I shouldn't have said it like that! Alri-Alright, can we just sit down for a second and I'll explain this to you!"
She gave him a stiff nod, stalking out to the living room, throwing the wet cloth at his chest as she went. She remained silent, either out of respect or passive-aggressiveness, throughout his tale. He told her about a whirlwind romance that was perfect until his family found out. Of them both being challenged, tested, forced to prove their loyalty to the family and each other. They passed, somehow, and it was going so well. Dennis was an MS1, going onto his second year, and the Cody's provided him some hands on experience whenever someone got hurt. It was all so good until Andrew got caught. He talked about the isolation once Andy went away, of their belongings slowly getting sold until he lost his place. Finding out he was pregnant. His escape in the middle of the night with the emergency cash Andy kept hidden and a car that he sold for something cheap and anonymous. Of having Julia alone in a strange new city, of trying to figure out school and how to keep in contact with Andrew, of losing everything else, terrified he'll lose Jules as well.
She listened. Truly listened. Once he had finished, all she asked was if she could talk to Andrew herself.
The next week, on the day of their bi-monthly phone call, Trinity went into her room with Dennis' phone, probably giving his partner of 4 years a shovel talk. Unfortunately, this left Dennis on his own with a toddler having a tantrum.
Jules was a smart little girl, she knew that the phone call meant talking to her dad, and she's only little, she hates the word 'no' and doesn't understand 'wait' just yet - Dennis has to cling onto her at every crosswalk now that she's able to run.
Andrew received his shovel talk with the Jules screams of 'no' and 'dada' as background music. Dennis was still wrestling with her, little limbs bashing against his body as she wailed, crying that she didn't want him, she wanted her dada, when Trinity came back out. He could hear Andrew calling out above the noise of her cries. Trinity was quick to understand, pressing the phone to Jules' ear. It took a few minutes for her cries to quiet enough for her to hear Andy's soothing voice, but when she did, the effect was near immediate. She had curled herself up, phone grasped tightly in her little hands and pressed close to her face. Andrew was for sure getting a gross audio of her sniffles and gasping breath as she calmed down, always asking her about her days, what day care is like, if she's made many friends. She stumbles through responses, still slightly behind on her language skills from all the forced quiet homelessness caused them, but she still tries, and Andrew responds, carrying the conversation and distracting her for long enough Dennis could slip away and take a moment.
As usual, Dennis and Andrew only got a few minutes of conversation just for themselves - they had taken to primarily communicating through letters once Jules had gotten old enough to talk and understand and recognise Andrew's voice - asking each other how they were, exchanging words of devotion, promising that they will see each other soon, it will only feel like a few minutes, the same conversation bits they've been going over for the past two years or so. He's exhausted when they hang up. Jules is fast asleep, curled up to Trinity's side on the couch. Dennis scoops his baby up, and goes to bed.
Jules has her own crib, has since Trinity read up about the dangers of co-sleeping and freaked, but Jules hates it, only manages it for nap times, preferring to sleep by Dennis' side, just as she has done for most of her life. He tries his best, tries to get her in the crib most nights, often fighting back tears as she screams, begging to be next to him where she belongs. Tonight he recognises they both need this comfort.
Jules is passed out next to him, sprawled in the centre of the bed in a sleep sack he spent far too long getting her in. He lay his head next to hers, grazing her rosy cheeks and dark red curls with his fingertips, eyes growing heavy despite the fear of waking her up thrumming through his body. God, she was getting so big. He'd have to figure out what photos he should print out to send to Andrew with the next letter.
Just as he was about to start drifting off, the soft click of his door opening and closing, and the weight of another body on the mattress forced his eyes open. Trinity, softer than she ever lets herself be in the daylight, lies down on the other side of Jules, placing her hand on her chest to feel the baby's heavy breath go in and out. She keeps it there, just feeling the thrum of Jules' heart, proof she's alive and safe, until she snuffles. Then she drifts her hand over, stretching to catch Dennis' hand in hers, squeezing once, twice, thrice, before letting go and closing her eyes.
The next year was harder, especially at the beginning. Jules turned two and she had more teeth coming in, so was in pain for most of the day, and Dennis missed most of it anyway, stuck at an interview. Trinity had, in a panic, ended up taking Jules to the Pitt, terrified that something else was wrong when her face got red and hot from crying. Dennis definitely embarrassed himself rushing across town once he turned his phone back on, nearly falling on his ass when he got to the ED waiting room. Trinity had calmed down by the time they re-met, and now had the chore of reassuring Dennis. They left a few hours later, Jules receiving a clean bill of health and the diagnosis of another new tooth, receiving plenty of cuddles from the nurses and residents, and Dennis being threatened to bring her back for a visit some time soon.
It got worse before it even got close to better.
Jules went through another sleep regression, this one lasting six weeks, right around the time of exams. A couple nights before his final exam, when Jules was truly fighting sleep and waking up screaming at all hours of the night, that Trinity suggested he go away for a couple of days, to get a break and proper rest before his test. He should have accepted the offer, but the guilt of the idea was too overwhelming - he couldn't add to her distress, he would rather fail than make things worse for her.
He doesn't know how he passed.
And then it was graduation and matching - the anxiety of the cost of actually walking across the stage consumed him, he could barely feel excited about being matched to the Pitt. Never mind the stress of finding ways to entertain Jules until he started his residency.
It also didn't help that by late May Jules had figured out how to unlock and open all the doors in the apartment. Dennis has been awoken far too many times by his toddler playing with his door.
Dennis was cooking dinner, anxiety thrumming through his body as he hummed along to his kid friendly playlist (God what had fatherhood done to him) as he tried to distract himself from his upcoming graduation, when there was a knock at the apartment door. Before he even had time to process the sound and put his pan down, the loud padding of footsteps echoed down the hall. He had just yelled out 'Jules, no!' when he heard the click of the door.
The low thrum of stress turned into a tornado, pushing him to run to the door, nausea bubbling in the back of his throat. He had just turned the corner, nearly slipping over with how fast he was going, when he paused.
Right there, crouching in the doorway in front of little Julia, bag dropped to his side, hair far too short, was Andrew.
He was talking so softly to her, Dennis couldn't hear it over his heart, holding one hand out to her in offering. Jules knew his voice, there was no way she couldn't, but she was still shifting shyly in front of him - at least Dennis now knew she wouldn't run off with just anyone.
He all but stumbled over to them, breath heavy as he crouched down next to his daughter. She immediately began curling into his side, prying his hand to take hold of hers. He squeezed it gently, pressing a kiss to her forehead quickly, "Hey, baby, you know him, remember? This is dada." He guided her little hand, pressing it to Andrew's palm, sandwiching it with his own. Dennis allows himself to truly look at Andrew now, just in time to see tears fall from his red eyes, laughing wetly at seeing his baby.
Dennis lets go of their hands, reaching out to caress his partner's face, feeling the warm skin and new wrinkles that adorn his pretty face, pushing forward to press a kiss to his teary cheek, his own face probably just as wet. They stayed there for a few more moments, faces pressed together, breathing in each others air for the first time in three years, before they are being interrupted by a chubby hand patting both their cheeks, clumsily wiping the tears of their face. Jules keeps her palm pressed to Andrew's face, exploring the face she has only seen in two dimension before. He catches her hand as it drifts down to his mouth, holding in in place so he can press a kiss to it, smiling brightly when Jules giggles and shies away bashfully against Dennis's side.
Dennis pulls them both into the apartment eventually, never letting Andrew or Jules out of his sight. Jules eats dinner in her high chair between them, Andy telling her stories of his journey to Pittsburgh (Dennis will ask what really happened when there aren't little ears around), pressing his leg against Dennis' under the table, always trying to maintain physical contact with him.
Dennis guides Andrew through their bedtime routine, bathing and brushing her teeth before getting her into bed for story time, the older man following it with so much care. Jules still co-sleeps with Dennis, now, primarily, because the apartment isn't big enough for an appropriate bed. She still finds comfort being near Dennis, but she is now far too big for her crib, using it more as a climbing frame for the past four months whenever he tried to put her in it.
For the first time in her life, Jules falls asleep with both her dads surrounding her.
Andrew spends the first hour after she falls asleep just staring at her in wonder, watching as her rosy cheeks shift with each breath, so perfect. Dennis on her other side, looking as beautiful as he always has.
This is all he has ever wanted.
The two partners stay awake until the early hours of the morning, watching each other and their daughter, maintaining a softly murmured conversation, freezing any time Jules shifts just in case she wakes up, basking in each other's presence. Their hands find each other early in the night, tangling together, just as they did in the early days of their relationship when they were too shy to trade early morning kisses.
Dennis falls asleep, everything he had hoped for having come into fruition.
