Organic Seeds I Trust
Good evening and happ Monday to all!
I hope you had a wonderful start to the week and are excited to hear about the wonderful companies I trust to provide me with the best quality organic seeds.
First, I will give you a little background knowledge. I started my first garden in summer 2015 and choose to go with starter plants. With tremendous success, I continued this journey.
Over the last couple years, we wanted to go ALL organic. We wanted to feel safe and healthy with the foods we were putting into our bodies. Yet, no one in our area sells organic starter plants.
That’s when the research began! We ended up finding two amazing and trust worthy companies in which we have been purchasing our seeds from. I will now share those companies with you in hopes you choose them for your gardening journey.
Johnny’s Selected Seeds
Johnny’s is an employee-owned company located out of Winslow, Maine. They are 100% Non-GMO and offer an assortment of both organic and non-organic seed options. We, of course, have only chosen the organic options they offer.
They sticker each packet with the germination rate as well as the test date. The sticker is sometimes missed on the package but the germination rate has always been promising. Even after 2-3 years seeds are still germinating at over 90%.
Additionally to seeds, Johnny’s offers plenty of tools/supplies for all your gardening needs. They have a grower’s library filled with instructional videos, planning tools/calculators, and an enormous amount of guides pertaining to fruits, herbs, veggies, and more.
I will share the link below and I hope you find Johnny’s as fruitful as we have.
Fruition Seeds
Next up on the list is Fruition Seeds, a company based out of Naples, New York. They are a family owned farm that is EXCLUSIVELY organic.
When it comes to their seeds, Fruition will not sell anything with a germination success rate of less than 90%. This means you will have a high success rate for all your seed starts.
Not only do they offer an amazing quality of seed, they even offer webinars! We have been attending some wonderful weekly webinars all about seed starting, storing your harvests, and a whole Seed Starting Academy. That’s where I really honed in on my seed starting capabilities. I HIGHLY encourage you to check it out for yourself and build that knowledge and skills.
As promised, I have linked both Johnny’s and Fruition below. Have fun and happy seeding. Please reach out and ask any questions you may have. I want to share my knowledge and experiences with all.
