Servomotors that can lock your joints when your muscles can’t, so standing still or holding something steady becomes reasonably possible. Balance scanners that make the fine adjustments your joints can’t to help keep a spoon, glass or bowl level enough to avoid spills. Hell, we have most of the tech already, why not use it in your SF?

So, I pile-count during deck construction and between matches - neither of which is on my opponent’s match clock, but which makes sure my deck is legal for my upcoming match. While I understand that slow play is a concern between games, I do think there are circumstances where taking slightly longer to get an accurate count while shuffling is a reasonable option/

Like, it was a diminuitive used overwhelmingly for slaves and servants, and heavily racialised especially in the American context (plenty of poor white brits were servants & thus spoken of, even if they were better off than slaves).
