people will genuinely tell you that flowery, after the one conversation where he is both completely sincere and kind to ralsei, telling her to not deny her own desires and then calling her princess is actually him maliciously misgendering her. the thing is that i wouldnt even put that past him, between forcing ralsei back into the butler outfit (which she was much more upset about than being called princess) and then "dont you love serving humans" line, flowery is not above being cruel to ralsei. usually with the hope that her anger will lead to her asserting her personhood and go against the prophecy, and always with the desire that it will lead to ralsei decide to leave this dark fountain alone. But hes not playing any of those mind games in the princess scene. he is actually just genuinely being nice to her there. thats part of the reason the scene stands out is that where most of the animosity between flowery and ralsei is dropped.
