neeed
you walk into the apartment and there are rose petals leading you to your bed, past your bed, out the window, back around to the front door again, you’ve been following the path for several hours now. is this romantic? you’re hungry and scared
i feel like this is more funny
you have to love your tgirls
you have to love yourself
yourself
you have to
you have to love yourself
please. please love yourself
you can't love everyone else and not yourself
it doesn't work that way
you don't work that way
you have to love your tgirls
including yourself
it has to include yourself
you matter
you matter
you always matter
you have to matter too
you can't exclude yourself
you can't burn yourself to keep others warm
you can't say 'but not me'
because you need it
you need it
you have to love your tgirls
you have to love your you

"Your body knows whether it has this organ or not" okay so
what is the function of hormones in the body
what does the body "think" if you introduce the hormone that's produced by a specific organ in amounts that would indicate that you have the organ
See, I believe that the body's signalling mechanisms actually do something, rather than being fun little molecules that are unimportant in comparison to your cells' ability to read your spiritual alignment or whatever.
Like to be quite honest I don't think my body is smart enough to understand that there's no uterus in here while I'm actively flooding my bloodstream with the "you have a uterus" signalling molecules.
Asserting that it somehow "knows" without providing a mechanism for how that information is communicated, simply because there ought to be a way that it does, is what's known as "magical thinking."
my favorite thing about being plural is the many times I will type something but it's completely coherent and well articulated in a sense that, I WOULD NOT SAY THAT!!! I noticed this shift everytime I try to type something important 😭
I've been noticing how prevalent punnya has been getting at fronting and wanting to talk ever since I'm starting to become more lax about my DID instead of stressing over it.
she says hi
my bitchass alter that corrects my grammer and actually reads
defunctland episode released immediately upon your death chronicling all failed career paths and relationships and somehow michael eisner is still at fault
So many people hate their own body so much and are so casually fatphobia toward themself and the thing is, when you're not, when you've healed yourself enough that you can look at yourself and say "my body is just a body that does body things" it becomes nearly impossible to be around people who openly hate their bodies. It feels like they're flinging their muck all over you, and you gotta shake yourself out so it doesn't stick. And misery really does love company. They'll talk about how fat they are and how they can't eat this or that or wear certain clothes or cut their hair short, and they want you to lament with them. And you gotta not, okay? You gotta not. You gotta walk away from that shit.
And you HAVE to pay attention to the things you say about your own body in front of other people, lest you become the person flinging your muck onto others.
You literally can't even talk about how bad it is to be disabled in this country without people who mean well but have no idea wtf they're talking about showing up and trying to give out advice to do things you've already tried that don't work because the system is broken by design
I don't even know what to do because it's fucking impossible to ask for help in a situation like this, where seemingly everyone with a pulse is SO ignorant of the situation you're in that they can't even see the problem
I have been too sick to hold a job down for 9 years. My condition has deteriorated from the stress of the overall situation / being forced to live with other people and I can't even manage WFH freelance work any more right now.
I am not eligible for SNAP or medicaid because as I've just stated I have been too sick to meet the work requirements for nearly an entire decade.
As such, I will not become eligible for SNAP nor Medicaid until I already have a formal diagnosis (which you are not entitled to the specifics of because I do not know you) on the record, which is impossible to get without already being on medicaid in the first place because it requires seeing countless specialists who each want $400 per visit and just hoping that they're not weird conservatives who don't believe any of their patients (extremely prevalent where I live) so the process isn't dragged out even further
I have to pay for all of my food and medical expenses out of pocket for the forseeable future. My medications alone are over $500 a month.

The reason I originally wrote this post is because seemingly everyone in my life at the same time decided to ask me why I don't "just" go to a food bank that's over an hour away + never has food I can safely eat, then got mad when I explained that I can't afford the time nor energy to go there 5 times a week just in case there might be food I can safely eat there sometimes, because by that point it would cost about as much as just walking across the street and buying groceries at the store that's literally next to my house.
And the food bank can't pay my hospital bills...
Thanks

wooow, labour MP btw
not just any MP, but an undersecretary for migration and citizenship. this guy is one of the MPs that has a direct hand on the genuinely horrific treatment of migrants and refugees in the UK, including shipping them off to the UK's former colony after unilaterally declaring the colony to be safe, as well as stripping the migrant and refugees of their heirlooms in the name of "paying for their migration in the UK with their own assets." Starmer's cabinet is filled with people whose bloodsoaked hands will never wash out like these.
Seems legit
we all hear about kudzu being introduced as "erosion control" in the South but I don't think contemporary people understand on a gut level what that means
these are images from a 1930s pamphlet that endorsed kudzu, entitled "stop gullies: save your farm"
It was Bad.
Invasive plants need to be understood as part of a much larger cycle of incredible violence against the land.
For context: erosion on that scale occurred as a result of our clear-cutting entire states. The land east of the Mississippi used to be covered in old-growth forest to an extent that we literally can’t imagine anymore, because most of us have never seen a forest over 100 years old. It turns out if you remove all vegetation from a landscape, you end up with a bunch of loose soil ready to move downstream. A fast-growing plant that covers everything in dense vegetation sounds like salvation when you’re surrounded by 40-foot deep gullies that get wider with every rainstorm.

Happy TDOV to all my sisters around the world.
someone wore this to the cricket world cup final in india. the channels broadcasting turned away the cameras and played ads.
he walked in front of millions AND the prime minister of India.
through this person's incredible bravery, Indians who stand with Palestine, Indians who have to spend their days under a fascist regime, have a representation that does them justice.
our voices of dissent have been crushed through harrowing persecution.
in 1981, India issued a postage stamp with the Indian and Palestinian flags flying side by side, and the words "Solidarity with the Palestinian people." India was the first non-arab country to recognize the state of Palestine.
the country i have lived in for 18 years is a dignified member of the post-colonial world. its citizens have moral backbones. they are often murdered or imprisoned for having it.
did this in fucking ahemdabad too. legend.
"oh! new queer trans comic/show/media whatever that's so cool- why are there no black queer characters? and when there are black people why are they always not trans and side pieces for the white characters?"
i noticed that from indie queer projects that gain traction there lacks a heavy cast of people of color and in this case black characters that are shown an ounce of love. it's very rare to find black trans characters in these projects unless it's specifically made by a black person. it's just jarring to see considering that black/Hispanic trans women are big pioneers of the American lgbt movement.
i just... notice a lot of these queer indie creators always lack black casts members or when they do exist it's only a tokenized character that's most likely not even queer. it sucks cuz I met so many black trans people/trans people of color who vent about the same thing: feeling invisible in a lot of these arts. and when we make art of our own it's often overlooked (although I'm lucky in my case)

i know this isnt the hottest take in the world but man do i hate anime and games and stuff that are chock full of fun interesting women with cool visual designs and excellent voice acting, but they all orbit a boring male protagonist who exists on a scale from annoying horndog to insufferable douchebag
i wish i could perform a life-saving protagectomy on these stories and just see a pack of fun anime women roving around solving problems with violence
