John’s thoughts spun round and round. This hadn’t even been the first time that something like this happened—maybe just maybe—Paul felt like John did, felt more than just friendship for him. During their ‘66 tour to the U.S., John and Paul are constantly worrying and caring for each other. John starts to wonder if his feelings are reciprocated.

My love of the Beatles started when I was probably around 9 or 10. My Dad started giving my sister and I different Beatles albums, and it started with him giving me Beatles for Sale and that was it. I am a person who gets very obsessed with things and it started young! My sister and my friend and I were all obsessed together and we frequently got together when the local radio station had it's Beatlemania weekend and played trivia and listened to music. We even won some of the call in prizes including...Tickets to see George Martin!! But it was at a venue that was 21 and over and we were as previously stated not even close to that age! My dad did get my Sgt. Pepper album signed though! We even got ourselves Beatle wigs, fake cigarettes and cardboard guitars (that my dad colored to look like theirs!) and were John George and Ringo, with me as John of course! We never did have a George!

As it happens with a lot of my obsessions, the love remains, but the obsession dies down. So for many years I always still loved the Beatles but it wasn't quite the same. I even went to Liverpool one time, I think about how little I knew about then!

As it happened with many of us, when Get Back came out I watched the first episode at my parents house on Thanksgiving. I just remember being like "oh yeah I love these guys!" and then having to binge the other episodes over Thanksgiving break. I got curious about the fandom of the Beatles then as I could feel an obsession coming on. I dipped my toe and saw mclennon fanfiction, which I do remember being very much *not* into before. I'm pretty sure I even sent a text to my friend at one time because an author that wrote in the Hamilton fanfiction wrote *gasp* John/Paul, ew gross! (lol). But then I sent this infamous dm to my friend over twitter (rip):

It was pretty much all over for me then. I read the fic, I read the lore, I got into tumblr again...I started @beatleskinkmeme and a discord server and I'm still here almost 5 years later! As always the obsession may die, but the love won't. And:
