all i'm saying is, if we all lobbied together to just get everybody to use trains, bicycles etc, and stop using cars, then the roads would be freed up for me, the gigantic robot, and city council might stop complaining about me being so fucking disruptive for once

what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

In all of the intensive care units I've been to, the most universal experience seems to be that one old nurse who keeps complaining about your admission, saying "this case could be managed at the medicine ward, why are you admitting them to the ICU" and the patient is breathing like 6 times a minute and has a blood pressure of none
