the doomsday war.

here is a quick breakdown of the important events that happened on the dream smp on january 6th. since there was so much going on today and so many different pov’s, i was only able to watch a small handful of them– if you watched any other pov than myself, it would be much appreciated if you comment any info i missed :)

At the festival, Dream turns his back on Tubbo and L’Manberg, showing the blown up community house (supposedly done by Tommy).

Tubbo gives Dream the final disk. Dream and Techno side, deciding that the next day they will completely destroy L’Manberg. Tommy reconciles with Tubbo, turning his back on Techno. He and the rest of the SMP decide that they will fight them the next day.

Today

Fundy realizes that Ranboo was right, that neither of the sides were good and neither of them cared about him. He will not fight for either side and sabotages L’Manberg’s chests. Niki sides with him.

Quackity nearly runs away from L’Manberg, but decides to stay. He leaves his horse by the sea, hoping to come back to it after the Doomsday War.

Techno, Dream and Philza arrive half an hour early with their horde of dogs. Techno sets multiple withers off in L’Manberg. As they are distracted, Dream sets TNT off from a contraption in the sky.

Niki sets TNT off underground and burns part of the Prime Path. She burns down the L’Mantree.

Tubbo watches in dismay as his country is destroyed, knowing that there is nothing that he can do about it. The Camarvan is destroyed in front of them.

Tommy confronts Dream. Dream will be going away for a little while, to avoid the wave of frustration following the war. He says that L’Manberg’s story is over, but theirs isn’t (referring to the disks).

L’Manberg lost the Doomsday War. The country is dissolved, and the Greater Dream SMP area takes over.  

Wilbur is heartbroken to hear that it was Phil, Dream and Techno who destroyed L’Manberg, including his sewers, thinking that they were friends. He is incredibly upset that he had given Philza “Friend” to watch over in his home, and that he still blew it up anyway.  

They sing the L’Manberg anthem a final time in the ruins.

Ghostbur confesses his desire to be brought back to life. He no longer wants to be Ghostbur and tries to find someone on the server that is powerful enough to resurrect him. At first he thinks that Dream is the only person that can bring him back, but decides against it. His theory is that if he were to be killed again, it would bring Alivebur back. Eret refuses to kill him and BadBoyHalo does not think he is able to bring him back. Finally, he talks to Philza, who has been reading up on resurrection. Philza knows how to bring him back to life, using the same sword that killed him, in the same place that he was killed, and they set his resurrection date for January 10th.

Quackity attempts to team up with Ranboo, but is rejected. To Quackity, the only way to defeat Dream and allow L’Manberg to rise again is through politics and diplomacy. He begins to think about people he can bring onto his side.

Overall, those who remain in what once was L’Manberg think about starting to prepare for another war against Dream. 

Ranboo teams with Technoblade and Philza.
