this one's pretty interesting and very visually striking! it was a browser based sorta-malware in the 2000s-2010s occasionally called a pop-up bomb. if you went to the page, it would abuse the way your browser was able to open tabs and quickly completely filled your screen with popups. it even had some little tricks! it would spawn six new windows every time a user attempted to close one and disabled standard hotkeys like Alt+F4. the origin is of the original program is completely unknown.
unlike the ILOVEYOU worm, the you are an idiot doesn't actually do damage. the worst it can do is lag out your computer and make you restart it. the only way for it to actually cause damage is if you had something open when you opened it and hadn't saved.
actually encountered this little jumpscare myself as a kid online! it was one of my favorite things tbh. showed it to everyone.
