Having a fear of viruses sucks because I will just be listening to music and then suddenly think "Hey what if there was a sentient computer virus in a physical form in the shadows of your room" so I have to take off my headphones and check and then I start feeling paranoid again so I run virus checks on my phone and tablet, both are completely fine. And then I remember I'm getting a PC soon and panic about the idea of getting a virus on it. And then I watch videos on them for an hour and it makes it worse 💔
Then after that I start having nightmares involving computer viruses so even my tf2 dreams start getting taken over
Those fuckass "your ___ has a virus!!" Things that pop up when you go on a piracy website or a shady news website,,, I WAS TRYING TO READ ARTICLES ON TF2 I DID NOT NEED TO HAVE MY LIFE SCARED OUT OF ME.
Also just scared of shady redirects anyways due to accidentally coming across a gory screamer site as a kid after clicking on a link in YouTube comments because I thought it was gonna link to a video of a guy making food :(
Even regular ass tumblr ads scare me. I accidentally click on one of them and it takes me to a totally legit site?? Yeah I'm still gonna freak the hell out. Same with ads on literally anything. If I accidentally redirect myself without being fully aware, I will be horrified.

i had a nightmare about computer viruses the other day and i went down a rabbithole and remembered when i used norton (bleh) a year or so ago and it gave me like 10k detections and i realised how my computer screen flickers sometimes and now i'm scared to check
You virus creators are so boring
Sure, "You are an idiot" is funny. Some other viruses are pretty funny. But also: why can't y'all just use it to make a real-life creepypasta. Put in some screamers that play at random points on the computer, have the virus communicate with the possessee in creepy ways, etc.
I was watching a tiktok of someone testing phone viruses and I can't stop fucking laughing at the scream one of them makes 😭
