Not only is today my birthday, but it's the day I release Chapter 3 of To Love A Supernova, and, as a result, the day that the Ash commission for the book comes out!!! This commission was done by @marchingspace via VGen! They will be doing all my character designs for this second installment of the Supernova Series (I hire a different artist for each installment for character designs, then another for the book covers, all so I can spread the love out a bit!). I'm super excited about the approach we are taking to these designs, and the second installment is going to bring a wide range of characers to life, from Ash's former companions, some characters we've already met but not y et seen, to some brand new, original characters that bring some extra spice to the universe!

I'm so delighted with his interpretation of Ash. I wanted Ash to have elements of ageing and masculinity (especially given he now has a beard), but to still retain a youthful boyhood about him. His design is straight out of Serena's eyes, so he had to be absolutely gorgeous and adoring. His outfit is straight out of the book, and actually belongs to Steven Stone, hence the refinement. It's just... ahhh. Swoon. LOL.

Happy Wednesday! To Love A Supernova has dropped the 13th Chapter today! This chapter is called Soaked, and well... it's quite the flashback chapter.

Soaked captures the origins story of Serena and James's sexual dynamic. The white chocolate mousse incident that lead to a kiss, which led to being carried by her ass up the stairs to James's apartment. To finally, for the first time in her life, actually have sex that felt... good. Really good. That changed... everything. In so many ways.

Gosh. I was so eager to write this when I first built this world. I knew exactly how I wanted it, and what life experience I was going to pull from to create it.

But best of all, I think the chapter really hits home how important communication, consent, and authenticity is in the bedroom. It shows Serena at the very beginning of her sexual journey. Of realising that she wasn't doomed to a life of terrible sex where she wasn't actually that involved in the whole act. And that is a beautiful concept to write and explore, and I'm proud of it.

One of the delights of fanfiction is that writers can pair all sorts of people. Not every element has to be canon. We are building new worlds, new stories, and growing loved characters in entirely new ways.

In saying that, the audiobook version is wild, and my gosh, how I kept things together when recording some of these lines... If you've read any of my work, you'd how descriptive it is. And this isn't even the smuttiest of it. Not by a long shot. I'm in trouble, fam! Oh well! It's all a bit of fun.

Happy hump day! Chapter 12 of To Love A Supernova has just dropped! This chapter is titled Four Boyfriends.

This chapter marks the beginning of the "girl squad" arc of To Love A Supernova. For those who have read To Be A Supernova, you would know that this means drama, laughs, and all sorts of shenanigans, as well as a very spicy flashback chapter in the middle of the arc! To Love A Supernova takes it up a notch, as Serena completely opens up and spills all about her sex life. From her dabble into the world of kink with Calem, her full sexual and romantic history with Ash and their will they/won't they, her beautiful yet horrifically badly timed romance with Alain, and drops the bombshell that the man making her splash all this time (they all thought it was Alain), was actually KERA's head chef 17 years her senior.

Have been eagerly tuning in to get the latest chapter on this amazing Amourshipping fanfic based in Alola. I'm the type of girl who writes the wildest of smut, but falls apart at the simplest, softest gestures of yearning. The holding of a hand. The lingering looks. The comedy of a boy realising he might think of a girl as more than friends.

All I can really say is that I am so glad I have the copy/paste block on my fanfic, but also, what is the point of this? Not only is the answer blatantly wrong (incorrectly characterising a love triangle as "a focus on threesomes between x, y and z, is WILD and shows how jank these programs can be), but it's so clunky and yuck that it's blatant that a human didn't write it.

These kinds of comments have to be bots. I just don't get the purpose of it. And to be consuming a bottle of water for this... It's gross.

This is a very cheeky, fun chapter that digs into the dynamics of Serena's current sexual and romantic situations with her various bevvy of men. Four of them, specifically. And we explore this through the wonderful world of texting!

Developing the layout so that it reads well and flows effectively was a really fun challenge, and gives me as the author a fun new element to add into my narrative toolkit across this season.

I'm not sure why these kinds of exploratory, non-monogamous based dynamics seem to freak so many in the Pokemon fanfic community out, but regardless, it's an important era for Serena to navigate as she learns and discovers her true sexual identity, desires, and what she is looking for in a long-term relationship.

Plus, we get a few little titbits around Serena's girl squad, and where their narrative journeys are headed throughout this season. It's like a big game of chess, really! And oh, I have so much fun weaving all the pieces together.

D-R-A-M-A! Happy Hump Day!

Say hello to Chapter 10 of To Love A Supernova. This chapter is titled The Reunion, and phew! Does it bring the drama!

Serena juggles hosting Ash's reunion at KERA as all of his former companions land under the one roof with her connection with Ash beginning to reblossom, whilst pity and apologies abound from his companions given the timing of his return and the email she sent them last year. And on top of that, a very drunken Alain Auclair makes a surprise entrance, complicating all sorts of things. Not to mention what goes down on the terrace that changes EVERYTHING... woweee! It's all happening at Ash's reunion.

We also get the character artwork for Brock in this chapter, which was done by my artist @marchingspace who's doing a huge set for me to fill this novel up with my visions for a wide range of characters.
