Check out the entire In Other Waters game soundtrack by Amos Roddy, I think that might fit the vibe of what you’re going for. “Pillar Gardens” and “The Last Artificer” are two good examples of how the soundtrack sounds.

The Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands score by Kalandra has ancient Nordic-inspired ambient music.

The soundtrack of the TV show Surface by Ólafur Arnalds is somber ambient music that never shifts too much within a song.

The Death Stranding games’ instrumental scores by Ludvig Forssell (two volumes for the first game, one for the second) may also be good for this purpose (be careful not to mix them up with the various Death Stranding lyrical soundtracks). Their songs have a collection of different vibes, but there’s a good number of more dreamcore-style or at least ambient songs. “Vane” is a good example of the moodier, atmospheric songs in the scores. “Strands” has a more hopeful tilt to it, but isn’t as ambient, in that it does change a bit across the song, which purely ambient music doesn’t tend to do. But it stays the course enough throughout the song that it is still good for background inspiration purposes.

The Last Sunset of the Year by Marcus Fjellström is essentially horror ambient, if you’re interested in that. It can get pretty creepy. It’s the soundtrack to the TV show, The Terror.

Some of the songs on the documentary soundtrack Before the Flood by various artists are ambient and similar in vibe to dreamcore. Examples are “One Perfect Moment” and “8 Billion.”

The soundtracks of both the indie animated short film Away and full film Flow (the first indie animated movie to win an Oscar) have some ambient tracks on their scores. “Flow Away,” “Flood,” and “Mirror Lake” are some of my favorites, but they tend to move with the emotion of their scenes unlike true ambient music FYI. Still might be worth checking out.

The Silent Hill 2 soundtracks by Akira Yamaoka are great, as I’m sure people have recommended. But both the original and remake versions are very good, though each sounds a little different, so I’d check out both.

Ambient Instrumental Albums

Static Glow Sounds has very dreamcore ambient instrumental music. Some favorites are “Constellations,” “Night Sky Travel,” and “Voids.”

Hanna Lindgren’s instrumental music probably fits your vibe. Examples are “Imaginary Music,” “Nostalgic Drawings,” “Muted,” and “Epic Mirage.”

Ben Elson also does instrumental ambient music. I’m newer to him, but his songs seem to be sci-fi or space ambient if I had to describe them. An example is “Callisto 8” (more atmospheric) or “Chrome Dreams” (more chillwave).

Singing like that takes a lot of breath control. It’s so much easier to sing that well if you’re standing up straight/with good posture, because your diaphragm is vital for breath control.

She’s not just moving around while she’s singing, but she is bending over and changing her posture repeatedly and fairly quickly.

Meaning she’s doing this extremely well while also deliberately making it harder to have good technique.
