Army of Me is such a scary song because I know I don't have it in me to survive a Björk attack...........
There is an influencer based in my greater metropolitan area who people bash for being corny, doing "TikTok voice," being a transplant while positioning herself as a voice of authority on local culture, etc., though for my part I've felt neutral, up to a mild but deeply uninvested slight positivity towards her.
Except she just posted a paid promo inside an old breakfast spot near me that got turned into, like... the epitome of an Evil Mexican restaurant (weirdly overly polished branding, tons of glitz, huge AI mural that feels at least 3 kinds of out of touch and offensive on top of being butt ugly, white people Chipotle type prices and menu items, unauthorized use of drones REALLY close to street traffic and a railroad crossing to film ads for their own socials, a lot of advertising focused on how "clean" they are... and people are also saying they're not Latin owned, which tracks, but makes me wonder if a local Evil Real Estate family is involved, not naming names bc WHOOF they're quite bad, but 😬).
And on the spot I immediately decided I was sick of her shit and didn't like her lol.

✷ What is that song you sing for the dead? ✷
"(analog) parts of me" by takimunk
just helped an old old man log into his outlook account and we succeeded and he said “young lady, go in peace. we have accomplished this mission.” what an electrifying way of speaking…

Long-tongued, termite-munching numbats are no longer endangered due to decades of successful conservation efforts, the global authority on the status of the natural world says.
Also known as banded anteaters, the status of the pint-sized marsupial has improved to near-threatened on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List. ''Today's assessments show that long-term, strategic and collaborative conservation effort works,'' conservation biologistJohn Woinarski said on Friday. ''Without it, invasive cats and foxes will continue to drive Australia's small marsupials and native rodents to extinction.''
