There was a long pause while Wanda weighed her options before she shook her head. “–wait. What is it you wanted to know? Like I said, I may have no answers.”

“Oh, just if you were free to take a stroll through the gardens.”

“get down,” druig scolded, tone dripping with annoyance as he strolled past the other, muttering under his breath, “ - idiot.” he had things to do. plans to make. there was no time for revelry anymore.

“Druig, you’re asking me to give up my liberties and submit to gravity. I have commitment issues, you know I can’t just do that.”

“thanks,” matt let out a dry chuckle, his posture relaxing a bit as he listened to the idle chatter echoing across the tavern. “i know your disdain for the baroness isn’t quite outspoken yet, but i want to know what you’ve seen, eros. you’ve got an inside look at it all, and i’ve heard you’re not happy about how things are being run. sounds like that puts us on the same side.”

“While I can’t say I disdain her, I do despise her methods and activities. Reminds me too much of my brother and I despair the idea of saying another domain go down the same rate as his.” He said looking quite pained at the thought before forcing his emotions from his face. “But yes, I’d argue we are on the same side, Matthew.”

“Oh, wow. I’m going to start by saying thank you and… yeah, wow. I think I’m stuck here.”

“I see no reason to thank me, I’m only speaking my truth.” He replied offering a smile. “Well then let’s be stuck together, shall we? My name is Eros, what may I have the privilege of calling you?”

“Oh, I actually have a bit of a routine going of my own, actually.” Steven loved everything related to self care, and skincare definitely fit under that umbrella. “But that was sarcasm, ‘wasnit?”

“It was intended to be a bit facetious, yes. Although if you are curious I’m happy to share.” He replied lightly before examining the man’s complexion. “Although what you do have going on seems effective as is.”

“I’m learning to take multiversal counterparts with a grain of salt. Everyone’s far too different.”

Eros couldn’t help but wince at her comment. Couldn’t have been a good experience with him. “I appreciate that, and given your response I’d rather not know about him.”

“What do you think I’ve been doing all of these years?” When she wasn’t shackled to Dane or Makkari, that was. “It’s more arduous of a task than you would think.”

“Only so much one person can do. I suppose I’ll have to take up the tasks of partying and clubbing as well. It’s a real sacrifice on my part.”

I like fun, Makkari paused. But my friends being missing is not fun. It had left her irritated and worried in a way that was uncharacteristic for the speedster.

Well true, that’s not fun. Tragic and nerve-racking in fact, but worrying will only do so much. As was my intention finding you all, I will travel across the universe to help find them, but let’s not be miserable in the process.
