“Something is always wrong.” Frenchie replied with a heavy sigh. “You were there when it happened, weren’t you?”

“I’ve been doing my best to keep up with what’s going on. I’m sorry to hear about your father. He’s the only one that hasn’t been resurrected, isn’t he?”

“What motivation would someone have for going after the specific group of you who were there that night? That’s the answer you need.”

“We’re used to not having the answers. We always find them in the end, don’t we? You’ll figure out who did this to your father, I can promise you that.” By then, it’d be too late.

“Suddenly it feels like we’re all sitting ducks. I’m getting tired of everything feeling so on edge— something has definitely shifted.”

“I have a feeling we need to tread carefully going forward.” Strange paused, his expression softening slightly. “I’m sorry about your father, Wanda. Do you have any idea about what we might be dealing with?”

“Grief clouds the mind, Wanda. Looking for answers won’t help with what you are going through.” Magneto needed to die. It was that simple. “The loss of your father is felt by all of us in one way or another.”

“I’m sure you’ve heard this enough the past few days, but I’m sorry for what happened. No one should have to go through losing a parent like that.” Peter knew that feeling all too well.

“Your dad died and my mother exploded— something is definitely wrong. And no one seems to be reacting the way they should be. If we want answers, shouldn’t we go find them?”

“Maybe.” Scott has been struggling with this nagging, unidentifiable feeling that’s been simmering in his gut since the explosion. He’s not sure what it is, he isn’t sure if it’s something he should reveal either. “Someone is certainly targeting us.” 

“Yes, I am Sorcerer Supreme again. The why’s and how’s aren’t really any of your concern.”

“What happened was horrific. I’m… I’m so sorry, Wanda.” There was real emotion behind his voice and tear filled eyes, even if his motivations were completely off kilter. Charles hadn’t even made an effort to step forward and say goodbye to his best friend while he died, and here he was trying to console his daughter. He was mourning Max, even through the red diamond concealed on his forehead.

“You’re telling me. Do we even know who blew up the building? Maybe we should start there.” 

“Something is always wrong. It’s almost as if you all signed up to be the people notified when the world starts to end.” 

“Something’s been wrong. Glad people are finally getting on board with the absolute shitshow going on.” 

“I hate that feeling. I don’t do well when I can’t put the pieces together and figure out what’s going on.” Peter left it at that, not wanting to give away his biases on the situation at hand. “I am sorry about your father. He was terrifying but.. I know what it’s like to lose someone like that.”
