The titans bust a cult (or a gang of wannabe wizards) performing an unknown ritual. Raven takes on the lead wizard, casting a spell to counter whatever they’re trying to do. In the middle of the fight, beast boy accidentally crosses the villains’ spell circle and the the 2 clashing magics while in animal form.

Long story short, until they can find a way to fix this, beast boy is technically raven’s familiar for awhile

(He can still take human form, but any of his animal forms are considered fit for the job)

Gar: *dramatically* I can't believe I have to wear this collar now!

Raven: I don't know how many more times I have to reiterate that no, you don't have to wear a collar. Where did you get that. Why is it coordinated to your outfit.

Gar: *still dramatically, basically ignoring her* Such is my fate! Bound forever to a half-demoness witch!

Raven: Again, I'm working on it. The main issue is that a significant amount of the magic in the binding spell isn't mine and I don't want to risk hurting either of us by just blasting it with psychic energ--

Gar: *dramatically throwing himself on the couch* Bound! Forever!

How it feels to be a multishipper

I feel like the robin-slade complex (is that the right word?) like robin obsessing over not becoming slade and crashing out whenever he's compared to slade is so random.

he doesn’t know slade. he didn't even know who he was at the start of the season so constantly getting angry whenever a comparison is made actually makes no sense. he doesn't even know how bad slade is because slade hasn't even done anything bad (so to speak).

compare it to something like invincible and mark's fear of becoming his father. that makes sense. mark saw first hand the destruction his father caused and the significant amount of people he killed. they're both viltrumites with the same powers. it makes sense that he's freaked out about becoming his dad; he has seen how bad his dad is and there's an actual possibility of him becoming his dad (not really though because mark is too much of a softie but you get the gist).

and to add to it, robin has never actually seen slade be bad. whenever anyone says he's acting like slade when he's being aggressive it doesn't even make sense because slade is almost never aggressive. he's basically always calm. so again it makes no sense.

the point is robin constantly getting his panties into a twist at every comparison to slade makes no actual sense, at least in season 1. if it happened in later seasons, then I'd say it makes sense, but for season 1 it doesn't.

am I the only one who thinks the whole slade and robin rivalry is annoying? like whenever they fight and slade wins it doesn't feel like a well deserved win because of the large difference in their age, height, weight and skill level. like any time slade beats robin, it's not really a moment he should celebrate, all he did was beat a child who's smaller than him. every time he even says he expected robin to be better or that robin isn't as good as him, it's like "yeah of course this literal CHILD isn't as good as you, you've been fighting since he was in fucking diapers!!" even when he threatens to destroy the other titans. you're threatening to kill other children? it's just weird to me.

You know those kittens who shake because they’re not physically used to being alive, but people will joke it’s because they can’t handle the emotional/mental weight of being alive?

That’s me. I can’t handle the weight of being alive. Not in a way that I’ll hurt myself or anything, just in the way where I have anxiety and can’t handle the reality of the future, change and death. I forget life isn’t all about tomfoolery. It’s all too real, I don’t know how people can do it.
