In the Fire Emblem fandom, or at least the hacking side of it, we like to say "talk convo" (convo being short for conversation).

In fairness, this is usually to distinguish between entirely optional convos (it’s just the characters talking) from support convos (supports grant stat bonuses), recruit convos (result in a new character joining), etc.

this is almost certainly a prequel btw shocked to see how many people went sequel when like. its so obviously themed around early history. unless fodlan regressed or whatever. also like. sothis did canonically look way older before the horrors.

that’s the way funnier option i'd love to see bc it implies either different continents are straight up just living in entirely different eras which is always a very funny worldbuilding option or fodlan just went fuck it and decided to go back to ancient mode. both of which amuse me more.

Well this is Fire Emblem, where Chrom canonically lives thousands of years after Marth and apparently no technological progress of any kind has occurred (or even regressed if the lack of ballistae in Awakening is any indication).
