hi guys! just wanted to give you all an update since i've been SUPER inactive
i've been really busy with university applications but i think i should be back on track with headspaces in the next week or so! i've been working on them when i can and i think the next one should be out in maybe a week? (i think...)
anyway yeah i haven't forgotten about you! if your request hasn't been filled yet i'm working on it and sorry for the delay ;-;
Hi! We would like an Andromeda, we weren't sure exactly how to request so we just filled out the template directly!
headspace's name- Icarian Cove
short description- A large lighthouse+connected house on a hidden shore with a crowcore/maximalist aesthetic inside the lighthouse, we know we want a planetarium room as well as an art room. Ideally nothing too brightly lit and preferably some cozy rooms, we would like lots of books too! We would also like various musical instruments strewn around the space or even a dedicated music room, as we play a lot of instruments!
era that it is based on- relatively modern with some vintage furniture pieces and objects
region/culture it is based on- ideally mostly american/westernish with some chinese aspects if possible! We know that it can be hard to mix these two, especially if you're unfamiliar with either culture, so no pressure on this one!
a song associated with the headspace!- Gothenburg, Winter '96 by Erik Sigurd
Space dust: lace/elaborate embroidery on the curtains!
Icarian Cove
[pt: Icarian Cove]
welcome!
The lighthouse is nestled within a cove, sheltered by cliffs from the stormy winds whistling around it. It clings to a mass of gray rock emerging from the sea, a small house hidden behind the spiralling cylindrical bulk.
Despite the cold air outside, the small building clinging to the lighthouse's side has clearly been deliberately designed to be as cosy as possible. Chinese paper lanterns, intricately embroidered and structured, project light around the main room, almost like little miniature lighthouses dotted around the ceiling. Some are rectangular, while others are more circular, and some even seem to mimic the fish swimming in the sea beyond. Thick carpets, drapes and lacy curtains insulate the room from the wind. Scattered across any flat surface are half-drunk and abandoned cups of tea. A samovar sits on the table closest to the couch, covered with embroidered and beaded cushions.
At one end of the building is a music room, filled with pages and pages of music sheets... which are, admittedly, a bit scattered and poorly organised. But there are enough to organise several home concerts with. Among the instruments lying around are several wind instruments, in particular trumpets and French horns, and one or two guitars. There are also a few shelves lined with CDs and vinyls shoved up against the walls.
In the adjacent room is scattered a mess of art supplies: acrylics, inks, watercolours, calligraphy brushes and massive rollers. Fancy stationery lies tucked away in desks next to old metallic fountain pens. In a cupboard there are folds of scrap fabric, embroidered and printed with patterns from all over the world.
It's a long climb to the top of the lighthouse, but the best part is up there, up beyond the beam shining on the stormy seas beyond. Tucked away at the highest point is a small planetarium, domed glass opening on the radiant night skies. The crashing waves are more muted here. Some blankets and cushions lie strewn in the corners.

I call this Christmas sweater vibes ;)))) I wanted to make something that looked and felt like sweaters and I think I did it ?! it was fun trying to achieve that ‘knit’ texture haha. learned a few new things and new techniques as well HAHAHH.
this is so so so so out of what I normally do—srsly, patterns ? maximalist patterns ?! who am I ?!
feel free to send / comment colours you’d like to see next for this set ♡
Deep within the woods, lurking in the fog, there is a cabin. Finding it is difficult, but the memories made there stick around forever. Despite looking foreboding from the inside, as soon as the rickety door opens, the smell of warm pumpkin cookies wafts towards you. The old fashioned oven where they are cooking funnels the smoke through the chimney. Every surface is covered with tapestries that look well-loved and possibly handmade.
In the corner, a warm cup of tea beckons.

It's spiced, yet fruity with an aftertaste faintly reminiscent of apple pie. Spread out on the table lie three tarot cards. They begin to flip over, revealing your fortune for the upcoming year until the next All Hallow's Eve...
(ask me to tell your fortune in the comments!*)

*I know this is slightly unconventional for a BAH blog, but... I was feeling silly. And I really like Halloween. So come along and ask for a reading! (not a proper one, I'm doing this for sillies only)
The building is airy and quiet, and with each movement within makes echoes. Dedicated to its purpose, the walls themselves seem to be solemn, yet friendly, like an embrace. It is the perfect place to gather for prayer, engage in reflection or make offerings. It is safe here. It feels like home.

Camp Space Bug
[pt: Camp Space Bug]
welcome!
There is a camp that runs every summer by the lake… but only those invited can come. No one remembers who built the treehouse, but there’s no point thinking about that when there’s fun to be had roasting marshmallows and swimming in the refreshing waters. It’s ramshackle and probably not up to code, but it’s home and there are dozens of initials carved into the trees. Waking up in the dewy summer mornings after a cold night, surrounded by humming dragonflies... This truly is the best way to live.
lake + outside hangout space...

Can we get an Andromeda with space dust? Based on the Valley from Sky CotL but especially the area with the spinning globes!

The Racing Ruins
[pt: The Racing Ruins]
welcome!
The arena here hasn’t been used for many years, and some parts have begun to crumble from lack of maintenance. Complex structures whistle as the rushing wind forces its way through intricate metal components. At a high altitude, snow has become heaped at the base of buildings.
The structures that still stand seem to have been skillfully carved from mountain rock, then painted to mark out... a racecourse?
Seems like you could follow the well trodden racing paths, or create new ones. There's even some goalposts -- with a little fixing up, it looks like the central platform would be perfect for a game of skyball.
This headspace was inspired by (not exclusively) Tunisian architecture, specifically ancient Berber villages!
