I'm Delilah and welcome to my space! I'm still moving in but soon we'll have some neat things to look at.

My goal is to find and appreciate media (particularly games) that do something novel or can really resonate. I want to show you games you might not have heard of or you might have tossed aside thinking you weren't really missing out on anything. Or just stuff that means a lot to me.

Stories mean a lot to me. At least one game helped me accept I was trans. Some helped me explore my gender safely and made me question it even further when I thought I had it all figured out.

Many have given me hope for a better world. They've inspired me to work towards telling my own stories, so that I might one day help someone through their situation.

attempted a hashjob puffpod (black, white, lemon slice instead of myrtle, bit of honey, and no lavender bc i haven't any, steeped 3 minutes at 90 C, I have no clue what I'm doing frankly) I will report back with my findings when i can drink it.

Too much lemon </3 but its not super bitter or anything, which I'll take! Don't do as I do, and just squeeze a little in, or use myrtle if you actually have that. I actually enjoyed the cup overall which isn't common for me and tea. Lovely taste of anemoia.

Oh yeah, except for the caffeine headaches that I forget about every time I have caffeine. There's also that.

Having a "stop the bullshit" button in a game is nice in general. But in Date to Die For it's also nice if you're the kind of person who doesn't want to put up with Rhok'zan's horny advances you have the option to put a stop to it right there with the spritz bottle. It shows a deeper level of care and tact than I'm used to, a way the developers respect the asexuality and boundaries of the player just as much as the pov character (while still being very funny).

Can I say how awesome it is to see a game bring up asexuality in a creative way that doesn't feel forced? In as far as I've played the word asexual or ace hasn't been said once but the concept was explained so matter-of-factly and personally from the character's pov that it honestly feels so much better this way.

i started a webcomic today! it’s about 2 girlfriends who go on a road trip together. it’s pretty bare-bones, but it’ll get fixed up in the news couple of weeks. it updates every thursday-ish. the first 2 pages are up. as a content warning, they contain non-sexual nudity, and drug use. i should also mention that if you’re triggered by suicide in any way or not in a good mental place to handle talk of suicide, this comic isn’t for you. not the first few pages, not any of it. i hope you enjoy it as the plot starts to develop. While I understand the reasoning behind the rotating game modes, I'm not a big fan of the Marathon ship being locked to the weekend. Last season I barely got to touch it because by the time the ship unlocked I was dealing with college tests and essays every week. By the time I'd be able to scrape together enough free time to play it was gone. Only when the season was about to wipe and let go of the schedule did I actually get to sink my teeth into it at all.

I've made peace with the wipes because in all honesty, three months in a game where your gear progression can really jump up really quickly isn't too bad for me compared to other live service games. I get the rotation of duos and other modes. But the endgame map with all its exclusive PVE and story content being locked off from people who's work schedules don't align with it is really frustrating.

I have not been lucky enough to run into Bingus or KAL1. Apparently you have to listen for the meows (ofc)? They get scared off by gunfire (me too baby) which is probably why.

i really like how this girl is being helped at every step. like her sister comments on how she's brave enough to go out alone now, but she's too scared to finally step into the grocery store, so the show just summons another character who helps her grocery shopping. what if the world was nice to girls

every episode is about demystifying another aspect of girlhood that's also framed as like, recovering from depression. You get over wearing panties and skirts which feel insurmountable at first and now hair care and styling are an adventure. you get over wearing your hair in pigtails casually and now getting the courage to cook is an adventure. you get used to doing some chores around the house and your sister notices how much happier you seem and how much more time you spend together like you used to. you get used to being a girl at home and now being a girl outside with safe people is an adventure. you're not quite ready to be all on your own outside but you meet a friend and now girl friendships are an adventure.

there's an implication that our main character and her little sister used to be a lot closer when they were younger but "for some reason" the older "brother" became a shut in as she grew up. her becoming a girl being a cure for self-sabotaging depression is just like, a real effect of taking estrogen the transfem reading writes itself

Been playing a ton of Potionomics, so a lot of things have been witchy. Trying to apply construction and go through and color things even if I know there's a lot I want to fix. After I color it usually looks better and more importantly feels complete so my brain can move on to the next thing.

Cafe at The Portland art museum has Rothko no. 5 cakes. Something intellectually meaty about seeing the painting in person, and then eating a cake copy. The complete experience. Full spectrum.

For those asking: the cake was good. I was worried it was gonna be gimmicky and low quality but nah it was straight up delicious. I think the colors were different berry flavors. Honestly the whole cafe was a highlight of the visit. Good food. Lot of cute fashionable old ladies. Highly recommended.
