Isn't asexuality about not feeling sexual attraction or having extremely low sexual attraction? Sexual orientation isn't about intimate relationships with sex, but rather about same-sex relationships. I've been told that they were also invented by queers, like pan, non-binary, demi or others

I'd go a step further, asexuality is about NO sexual attraction. Even a little bit is something. That's why I, an asexual woman, can't stand all of these extra 'oh, I feel it sometimes when I get to know the person' (so, like, most people??) or 'I feel it until someone offers, then it's gone' (so like...you probably should go to therapy to just make sure that isn't a trauma response??) 'subcategories' are bullshit. If you feel ANY sexual attraction to either sex (and there are only 2 sexes), you. Are. Not. Asexual.
I've never really been someone who felt they 'needed' to see asexual representation. I like to occasionally headcanon characters or OCs as asexual (especially a hypersexualized asexual like Jessica Rabbit) but I've always found that the 'canon' representations are always lackluster. I've also been really against the idea of aromanticism. I would technically be one (bc neither sex nor romance interest me) but I don't really think it should be lumped in with asexuals, let alone something that you can be without being asexual. Again, I'm firmly on the 'it's nothing or the label means nothing' side of things so saying 'well, I like romance but not sex' just doesn't sit right with me. Which is what a lot of canon representation does so they can still have 'ships' without the sexual side of things. All in all, I don't really care if there is canon asexual representation bc I'll either be making my own or I'll be unimpressed with what is offered, lol
