Sometimes I laugh at how loudly the world tells us, "Work harder and you'll make it." Meanwhile, God whispers, "Have faith. I'll make a way."
I've learned that, as someone who is neurodivergent, I wasn't created to constantly survive in hustle mode. Living in a world that isn't built for our minds takes enough energy on its own. Why would I spend the rest of my life wearing my body and spirit down trying to prove my worth?
I've been doing it backwards for far too long.
Last year, I made a decision: I would stop forcing doors open and let God lead me instead. I chose to trust Him to turn my hobbies and passions into purpose—and purpose into provision. Because God has never stopped providing. He feeds me, clothes me, keeps a roof over my head, and faithfully guides every step I take.
So yes, I've chosen a softer life.
Not a lazy life. A faith-filled one.
After all, I am a daughter of the Most High King. A princess doesn't have to fight for a seat at the table her Father already prepared.
The world may try to pull you down. The enemy may send people who misunderstand you, speak falsely about you, envy your joy, or convince themselves you're the villain simply because your light reminds them of their darkness. Some people will watch your life more closely than they watch their own, then resent you for shining.
Don't wrestle with people. Rebuke the enemy.
When God places a calling on your life, opposition often follows because purpose threatens darkness. But you still say yes. Why? Because every act of obedience points another soul toward Heaven. And if Heaven ends up a little fuller because you chose faith over fear, wasn't it worth it?
God isn't calling us to become who the world says we should be. He's calling us to become who He says we already are.
Don't let this world convince you that you're unworthy. Your value was settled at the cross, not in the opinions of people.
The world may be crumbling around us, but that isn't God's doing. It's what happens when humanity chooses pride, hatred, and destruction over love. Even so, we don't answer darkness with darkness. We keep our hearts soft while the wicked harden theirs by their own choices.
So I'll keep choosing peace over pressure.
Faith over fear.
Purpose over performance.
And God's timing over the world's deadlines.
Because I've learned something the world could never teach me:
I don't have to make a way.
My Father already has.
