I’ve forgiven more disrespect than most people know—things said behind my back, things said to my face, and everything in between. I still chose respect, because my character isn’t determined by how people treat me. I don’t carry grudges; they’re too heavy for a journey God is leading.

For a while, it hurt realizing that the grace I gave so freely wasn’t always returned. But God reminded me that genuine love doesn’t lose its value just because it’s given to the wrong people. My faith is real, my heart is pure, and everyone God placed in my path got to experience what it feels like to be genuinely loved and blessed.

So yes, I can walk away with peace. Not because I stopped loving them, but because I finally learned that not every room is meant to recognize your worth. Some people are a lesson, not a destination.

I’ll always love them. I’ll always pray for them. But you can’t heal in places that are committed to misunderstanding you, and you can’t grow where your value is constantly being discounted. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is leave with grace and let God handle the rest.
