Happy birthday Lain! Gotta be one of my fav autistics 🙏🏻
Me because Im an autistic teenager who is going to be an autistic adult soon with no idea of what that is going to look like
Autistic Pride Day (18 Jun)
Mf's online saying shit like "oh im so autistic! Sometimes I qoute stuff from my favorite show!!" Piss me off to no end because they act all grossed out and shocked when they see an actual autistic person.
"What do you mean you dont want to hang out at this really crowded and bright place!?! Being overstimulated isnt that bad! Trust me! I get overstimulated too.. you're just being sensitive" but when i actually start to scratch myself and pull out strands of my hair to try and self regulate then im gross. Im weird. And I shouldnt be "self harming infront of them".
"We all get hyperfixations and special interests!" But when its all i can think about and it starts to impact my daily life its "just a show/game".
"I stim too! Haha! I say silly things from my favorite show when I get bored!" But when I start to get stressed or excited and start to flap my hands or rub my collarbone its weird.
I CANNOT DO SHIT.

A huge fear for me is that I will have a large and public meltdown on my wedding day, and to break the tension I told my bridesmaids that someone will film it and post it as one of those "this is the side of autism they don't tell you about" videos.
But maybe me having an absolute meltdown in my wedding dress is exactly the side of autism that needs to be talked about. We get overwhelmed and break down in public situations. We lose control of our body and can't always explain why. Our needs sometimes seem picky and a box and our reactions disproportionate.
At the same time, sometimes people love us enough to marry us. People see our big hearts and love for the world and enthusiasm for little things and want to stay with us forever. People will see our joy and do everything they can to bring it about. We will have our worst moments and someone will still be there to love us.
For some of us it might be a partner, but for others it might be a parent, a sibling, a caregiver. We all deserve someone to learn the way we love and love us back.
Autism acceptance month 2026
April is a special month for me because it’s autism acceptance month, You may know that I’m autistic.
People who are on the spectrum see things in a different perspective, they may be sensitive to loud noises, textures, and stuff like that but people like me are special in our own ways.
We also developed ‘special interests’ like my special interests are pokemon, video games like animal crossing, Mario, the legend of Zelda, K-pop, corgis, and toons/animation.
Some People on the spectrum can talk or not, be we can also ‘Stim.’ It’s a thing that autistic people do like hand gestures, clicking a pen, rocking, bouncing their leg, etc.
Shout out to my fellow tumblr users that are on the spectrum like me!
