Book: the sword and the flute by David Kinsley
đđđđđđđđ
What text says
The figure of KÄli conveys the image of death, destruction, fear, terror, the all-consuming aspect of reality. As such she is also a "forbidden thing," or the forbidden par excellence, for she is death itself. For the Tantric hero the forbidden is not to be propitiated, feared, ignored, or avoided. Given the rationale of the paĂąca-tattva ritual, KÄlÄŤ is confronted boldly by the sÄdhaka and thereby assimilated, overcome, and transformed into a vehicle of salvation. This is particularly clear in the KarpÄŤrÄdi stotra, a short work in praise of KÄli, which describes the paĂąca tattva ritual as performed in the cremation ground (smaĹÄna sÄdhana). Throughout this text KÄli is described in familiar terms. She is black (verse 1), she has disheveled hair, blood trickles from her mouth (verse 3), she holds a sword and a severed head (verse 4), she wears a girdle of severed arms, she sits on a corpse in the cremation ground (verse 7), and she is surrounded by skulls, bones, and female jackals (verse 8). It is she, when con fronted boldly in meditation, who gives the sÄdhaka great power and ultimately salvation. In her favorite dwelling place, the cremation ground, the sÄdhaka with his female companion

This wonât make your blog look ugly. How could you not reblog this? REBLOGGING THIS COULD SAVE A LIFE!!!
This goes for assholes, too, guys. I know a couple who went tubing once, and they had to re-air their tubes, but the guy thought it would be funny to stick the tip of the air compressor up to her bikini trunks, the air ruptured something inside her and she died within thirty minutes.
WHAT?
The thing about this? Itâs in every pregnancy book Iâve read.
WHAT?????
Why is it in pregnancy books but not sex ed books?
Because the men in charge only care about the health and safety of women in so far as it enables them to have babies.

Reblogging with a link because I thought this was a legit joke. Never heard it before. Like I knew you could kill a person by inserting air into a vein but still.
WHAT THE FUCL I hate how I didnât learn this in sex Ed AT ALL
This is very true lol
Yo what the f u c k
not the normal stuff iâd reblog but, uh, this is kinda??? heckin???? important?????
I feel like I first saw this in The Joy of Sex, but itâs definitely a thing.
the guide to our Blackery.
I feel like re-watching all of these over the next few weeks.
