This past week the streets said Future's new album was trash. They said he sounded washed rapping in a very uninspiring way about the same topics that they've deem as immature for his age at this point of his life and career. They went as far as saying Future needs to take a break from releasing music. But despite all of that, The Real Me managed to sell almost 140,000 in the first week.
And while I'm on the subject of the streets, they've also talked about the rumored relationship between Larry June and Jhene Aiko for the past few weeks, wondering how Big Sean feels about one of his friends getting with his ex right after they broke up. Neither Larry or Jhene is helping the situation either. Because as soon as I heard the lyrics to California Dream, I had the Draymond Green stare expression. 😂ðŸ˜
After the World Cup is over on Sunday, I think I'll give soccer a chance and watch the NWSL, MLS and Premiere League this upcoming season.
NWSL and MLS makes it easy to claim a team. The former has Gotham FC. And though the latter has two New York teams, NYCFC is the most recent team that was founded in 2013 and played their entire existence in Yankee Stadium. Plus next year, Gotham FC and NYCFC will share the same field in the almost finished Etihad Park in Queens.
Premiere League and the rest of those Big Five leagues in general, I will most likely remain neutral. It's a hard decision that I'm not in a rush to make and would much rather it happen naturally. Nothing about my sports fandom is casual, and it seems like the fans of those leagues are the exact same way.
But I will say, some of the soccer creators on TikTok has been giving new Americans fans a cheat sheet on what teams to choose in the Big Five leagues. And some of those options they've laid down fits what would interest me. So I was told by those creators:
If you became a Haaland fan during the World Cup, pick Manchester City. But apparently their ownership is hated.
If you're a New York Yankees fan, pick Manchester United. They're the equivalent.
If you became a Balogun fan and have bias to someone born in Brooklyn, New York, pick AS Monaco.
