The working class people of New York should absolutely be able to put their foot down and say, “no, you are not shutting down the busiest subway station in the city during one of the busiest times of the year for a private event. No, you are not having the Empire State Building lit up like a goddamn Christmas tree for you while thousands of New Yorkers are going without power during a heatwave (that you also helped contribute to with your ungodly amount of carbon emissions from your private jets).
