As I suffer through endless romantasies where the main characters meet once and become intensely obsessed with and attracted to each other I continue to wonder whether this is universally lazy writing or if people actually live like this

In Station 11 the graphic novel, Lonergan is the isolated has-been obsessed with the past and K is the young rebel Undersea leader, while Doctor Eleven is the outsider who talks to both of them and nobody trusts. In Kirsten's play, she plays K, 'kills' Frank-as-Lonergan, and feels responsible for Frank's actual death. In the present, Clark fits Lonergan's profile and Tyler is K, casting Kirsten--who bounces between them--as Doctor Eleven. But Kirsten's interpretation is that Doctor Eleven is K stuck in a time loop. She may be playing Eleven in the present, but in her mind she's still the same traumatized child with a knife, going in circles. So in the very last episode, with Tyler as K/Hamlet, Clark as Lonergan/Claudius, and Kirsten once more in the director role, Tyler's choice to drop the knife changes the plot of Hamlet, changes the plot of Station 11, and changes the plot of Kirsten's whole life.

Re: my chill attitude toward surgery, I do appear to tolerate anesthesia extremely well. I don't get postoperative nausea, and I only recently learned that some people get long lasting cognitive damage from general anesthesia, whereas I bounce back from it quickly beyond a tendency to be a bit chatty for a while. This may be connected to them needing to use more to put me under, idk

Station 11 really is THE miniseries for lovers of overwrought pretentious melodrama. Show that has me (known hater of adaptations that go off script) gushing about how the adaptation goes off script because that's what it's about. Also I think Kirsten and Isabel Lovelace should hang out

Just got offered a romantasy retelling of the Tell Tale Heart to review. I don't know if I can do it anymore guys
