Random thought I just had is: Why does RttE have so many eels?? Yes ok the eel effect, which was fun picking up on following the first movie, but why the giant evil sea eels that almost ate the gang that one time? Feels like straight out of a cartoon (which it is. but. you know. a stupider cartoon maybe?). On the other hand, if we headcanon the dragon riders to live on a Scottish latitude for a second (because let's be honest, the landscapes and climate are NOT reflecting a region farther North most of the time) then do you know what they should be having there??? Do you KNOW??????
STARFISH. They have STARFISH. Big, fat, orange Common Starfish. Hanging out en masse in harbor seabeds etc. In fact, those should be the main food source for seagulls and many species of dragons. Berk should be full of them. However, I guess I can see why they weren't included in the Httyd world... because animating them would quickly turn this show into some magical Barbie fairytale, and that's why we can't have realism lmao.
This is exactly what it's like T_T And listen, if it's about the slightly uncanny, slightly disgusting vibe that permeates httyd with the eels and the saliva and the lightning and whatnot, then still... trust me. Starfish.
I don't think ANYONE associates Scotland, when they think of it, with starfish. Because starfish sound like they should only live in tropical waters. Yet in Scotland, they're everywhere! And so they're not the oh so pretty coral reef inhabitants that people wish to see when they go diving, no... they are those big, fat sea slugs living in almost freezing conditions surrounded by smelly seaweed which got washed up on the pebbly shores. The beaches in Scotland are rough. So. Starfish.
Every day we learn something funny and exciting et cetera pp
