AM radio is like literal magic. There is music all around us that we can't hear, and to hear it you just have to tap a crystal (diode) to the earth and listen to it with another magic rock (magnet) and a tin can. You dont even need electricity to make it work because this music around us is literally all the power you need. Oh and at night when the sun has set, the light of the day gets replaced by MORE music because the signals can travel further at night. This is magic. If you even care.

while we're on the topic of talking about changes the pjo show made that i love, im glad they didn't push the whole Annabeth saying she and Percy *have* to be enemies because athena and Poseidon have beef. Instead she's just this cryptid autistic strategist 12 yr old who stalks Percy and pushes him into the water. She's like "hmm this white boy will perfectly serve my purpose and schemes" and she's so real for that

Intellectually, I know the song “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” does not contain the line “you’re a tursiops truncatus“, but I can hear it vividly all the same. I have no idea why my brain-gremlins are convinced a. that the speaker called the Grinch a bottlenose dolphin, and b. that this is a dire insult, but there it is.

It’s that time of year again that I must once again remind myself that Tony the Tiger does not at any point call the Grinch a dolphin.

It’s absolutely unhinged to me that all you people know Thurl Ravenscroft from is a cereal commercial. Did none of you actually recognise his voice in everything that needed a bass voice. What the hell is going on. Am I from another dimension. Did nobody watch the animated Hobbit? Did nobody listen to Grim Ginning Ghosts as a kid? Did nobody watch Brave Little Toaster? literally EVERY OTHER DISNEY FILM??? Am I hallucinating all the voicework this man did EVERYWHERE???

Most people know Thurl Ravenscroft mainly as Tony the Tiger because the Frosted Flakes commercials he voiced were on every channel every day for decades on end. It’s a lot more likely that somebody never got around to watching The Brave Little Toaster or the Rankin-Bass Hobbit than it is that they just never sat through a television commercial break at any point between 1953 and 2005.

I am extremely online but in like the Loser Way. if you try to make me use instagram or tiktok I fumble around with it like a grandma who has never seen a phone before. if you send me a tumblr screenshot however, I will tell you that not only have I already seen the original post but that I'm mutuals with OP
