I'm a 40 year old divorced, disabled, and queer woman who has to take things one day at a time. I'm disabled and I am enrolled in all kinds of medical programs aimed at just getting my body through the day. (Unable to work, I'm currently on SSI, but my SSDI application is still crawling its way through the government.)

This month just started and I am already broke.

I had to pay an unexpected and absolutely massive bill on the 1st and I have exactly .74 cents to my name.

(I had not had a new pair of glasses in the past ten years, but they finally got so bad I couldn't see at all and my head hurt constantly. I have Medicare and the initially agreed to pay for most of the cost of the new frames and lenses — I already paid $250 previously and insurance was supposed to pay the remaining $500. When I went to pick up the glasses on Monday, the doctor informed that THEY HAVE DECIDED NOT TO. In order to get my desperately-needed glasses on the 1st, I had to pay it all.)

And, so, I've come to this. I've never asked for help like this before. I'm quite frankly embarrassed but I've got to get through this month somehow.

What I Need (Most Pressingly):

I have certain needs — my monthly meds will cost me about $130. I can do without some of the painkillers, but the diabetes meds and the psych meds are not optional.

I have to pay the company that manages my feeding tube supplies and also pay for any food I actually manage to eat per os — at least $55 for the supplies and anything else is gravy.

I'm currently enrolled in a Partial Hospitalization Program at a psychiatric facility, but it's in another city an hour from my home both ways, and gas is so fucking much right now. (A full tank gives me about six full trips and I have to make ten trips a week. I paid $30 on Sunday to fill the tank and I don't have enough gas to get there tomorrow.)

I'm a writer (fanfiction, original works, poetry) and I made media-related graphics. I don't yet know how to make videos or gifs. I don't believe in taking commissions for fanworks, since, to me, that violates the 'no-profit' nature of the relationships between media creators and the fan creators. But I am offering to write you a gift as a show of thanks for any donations. I can also hand-draw you a crappy picture of your blorbos or your OCs. I can make you a title graphic or banner or something for your stories and collections. Whatever you'd be happiest with, to the best of my ability.
