I’m realizing people don’t really draw the choir in more wintery or cold outfits even though it’s a school year in northern Saskatchewan next to a lake. Like this isn’t even a complain I just think it’s a funny observation. Nobody wants to draw everyone dying in the bulkiest snow coat ever or being locked in by snow or think about the implications of the town probably having no snow plow service to stop the inches of snow from making everything unwalkable. Understand the majority of the year is either gonna be cold winds and fog, the muddiest slush ever, or like a wall of snow. It does not look pretty. I mean technically it could be tshirt weather but only for the select few who like shorts in sub zero winds. Everyone else is fighting for their lives. The choir better have some flavour of winter uniform cus if the school made me dress up in knee length skirts and sock I just wouldn’t show up until it gets warm again. Which would be like 2 months tops.

#the ‘sky is almost blue’ is genuinely the realest thing ever because once it starts to get cold the sky are just the most depressing grey #all the time. that one images saying Canada’s capital looks like a resident evil map was right it’s what everything looks like in between #winter and spring. and it takes like one geography lesson to figure out that Saskatchewan is worse #this is my vent post and I don’t even have it that bad like does anyone like walking in slush or hoping the path isnt icy enough to slip #ride the cyclone #rtc #tempestmothtalk

List of random items that become weapons/armour/darkners in the dark world

Ocean got a Waterloo pen from a college fair that turns into a spear or sword. It has the Waterloo motto “Concordia cum veritate” (in harmony with truth) engraved on the blade. Idk I just picked Waterloo cus it’s one of the prestigious universities that has a somewhat relevant motto. Half of the choir makes fun of the cum part and it drives her insane

Ocean also got a UofT sticker on her notebook and it turns into a shield with a tree and ribbon thing on it. Idk a lot of uni logos have shield looking things on them I just chose UofT cus it’s also one of the most prestigious ones in Canada. Also I forgot to mention she’s like a paladin type in the dark world

Constance has a bunch of friendship bracelets and they turn into prayer bead looking things. They do magic stuff like healing for her and can also be used as like a grapple potentially

Her glasses also turn into a mask covering the upper half of her face. Idk I haven’t decided what the mask is gonna look like but I kinda like a plague doctor one. It’s just not very thematic atm any suggestions

Idk what random items Noel would be carrying but he has keys to the house which turn into the knife that he stuck 10 times in someone’s back famously.

Misha has a heart locket with Talya on it and it becomes a belt. I jus think he’d own one

Random coins in his wallet turn into brass knuckles. Bro is shining like Midas

As mentioned before Ricky’s mobility aids turn into cat darkners. I don’t think there’s a specific reason why some items stay items while others become darkners in deltarune but Ricky names his crutches it’s probably personified enough for them to be darkners. They act as little advisor for him and move him around with big cat paws that bend with digitigrade legs. His wheelchair does a witch hat atelier with cat legs too.

His random keychains and stickers would turn into magic runes. I think he’d be some wizard or something (also yeah humans can’t do magic in utdr but in any cases I mention magic it’s because they have items that do random magic properties. Maybe not full on spell casting but some effect)

Penny’s doll turns into armour but it’s still a sentient darkner in the way spamton is for example. It doesn’t talk at all but Penny like to talk to it. I imagine Penny as kind of Druid like, so it’d look kinda wild and wood like. The hair turns into a straw or fur cape. The arms turn into deer antler branches type things on a chestplate, but they still act as arms and can do stuff like hold things or hug Penny when she’s upset or something.

If or when she becomes Jane it’s the doll that prevents her soul from leaving her body so it just forms a head around the soul which is visible from one of the cracks. While Jane is conscious, so is the doll, and while they’re usually on the same wavelength in a way that makes it unnoticeable, sometimes the body moves in a way that the voice doesn’t agree with. Cognitive dissonance stuff

#dark world as in ‘what would be their designs in the dark world’#because genuinely I think more fandoms should do a ‘what would be the dark world designs for this cast’ thing cus it’d look really cool #super colourful vaguely fantasy adjacent designs with maybe even some magic stuff #I would not make up a plot for it because it relies entirely on what DELTARUNE is gonna do with its soul dark world lore in the future #all I’m gonna say is that Karnak has the red soul for reasons no body knows #my two slightly unique ideas is that Ricky’s crutches and wheelchair become cat themed darkners and it’s really cool #and then Jane’s doll turns into an armour like item and the perserverence soul is visible from one of the broken openings #like the armour is what’s keeping the soul caged in so that she technically isn’t dead. but any more elaboration might stumble into theories #tempestmothtalk

I hadn’t checked in on one of my favourite fic writers in a while only to find that several of their fics are straight up gone and any mention of the fandom on their blog is also gone without explanation. Something happened and I don’t think I’ll ever learn why. wtf happened
