Nakba Day is commemorated annually on May 15. It marks the beginning of the destruction of the Palestinian homeland, and the mass displacement in 1948 of the majority of the Palestinian population. 

Arabic has no direct equivalent to the English verb ‘to have’. One way of expressing owning or possessing in nominal sentences is using the preposition عِنْدَ (ʕinda). Here are the inflected forms of عِنْدَ.

The thing owned is expressed in the nominative case as the nominal predicate.
