either you are a transphobe and don't care if we live or we die or you do and you should be making an effort to include us. and that means getting more comfortable with ambiguity and nuance around trans people and their relationships to patriarchy and gender oppression. and that includes trans men and masculinity/manhood in general!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is no way around this

Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or has he seen masculine people be treated as inherently predatory so often that he holds this back to be seen as a person?

i remember the first time i bought any clothes from the "mens" section a couple of years back. i remember growing up begging my parents to let me buy the "boys" version of whatever we were buying. i remember swapping the little pink or blue based on what gender you are bags from birthday parties and shit with the little boy in my primary school who preferred the colour pink because i felt uncomfortable being labelled as a girl before i even knew what a trans person was. i remember wondering around the "boys" section in shops and telling strangers who would look at me funny i was "shopping for my little brother" even though i was actually looking at what i would want if i was allowed it. i still wish my parents would let me buy stuff from the "mens" section when im out with them instead of having to wait until i can go back to the shop alone. i miss the period of about a month when i had a binder that vaguely fit me that was a friend's old binder and i wont be able to get another one until i move out. i fucking miss being able to be comfortable in my own skin and i only got a taste of it for a month. i remember being in primary school and wishing i could be on the boys team when we would be split into boys vs girls for activities despite not knowing what that meant about me. i learnt about misogyny and then thought that me wanting to be seen as a boy was misogynistic and hating myself sometimes for it to the point where i suppressed it until i met another trans man and realised "oh maybe this doesn't mean im misogynistic it just means I'm not a girl". i remember begging my parents to let me keep the same duvet cover on my bed for as long as theyd let me because i had two duvet covers and one was a pretty pink princess one that said "sweet dreams princess" and the other one was (still 'girly' but less so) pastel elephants and spots and i didn't want to sleep in a bed with the word princess on it. i remember making sure i wouldnt have the princess sheets on whenever a friend came round so that they wouldn't see me as a princess. i remember about two years ago being so happy when my parents decided that i was too old for either of those duvet covers anymore and getting a red tartan fleecy sheet which is snuggly and less 'girly'. i remember even as a child hating summer because it meant i had to stop wearing baggy jumpers and cardigans and go back to t-shirts. i still hate summer because of this and literally the second its cool enough to put a jumper back on i do so. i remember buying the baggy shorts im wearing while writing this last summer and trying them on in the shops changing room and making my mum take me to the bathroom in the shopping centre immediately after buying them so i could change into them because i liked wearing them so much better than the skinny jeans a friend had given to me because they "thought it would help me be more fashionable". i remember going to a country for medical reasons) and it being so hot and me not being prepared for heat (i only had black trousers) so we had to buy shorts and my parents trying to get me to look in the women's section but not wanting to and keeping wondering over to the mens aisle because that was were the only pair of shorts that was long enough for me to be comfortable wearing them were (i hate showing my legs because people often say they "look feminine"). i remember first realising there was a trousers version of my school uniform and begging my mother for a full year to get it for me and being so so happy when i finally got it

so yeah actually trans people who aren't trans women or transfem probably do know the feeling of wearing clothes that "match" your gender presentation

but if someone writes an article about how Gen Z men are actually SUPER conservative and think all women should stay in the home and be married by age 22, people on here's gut response is "fuckkkkk thats SO true we are so cooked #killallmen"
