I'm beginning to be convinced university math lecturers just choose the cool-looking complicated Greek letters for the variables just to aura-farm. there's no reason you have to use ΞΆ, ΞΎ and Ξ΅ in the same equation with { }s and make your own life hell with 5 different types of squiggles you can't even write properly, much to the chagrin of your students, when you could just use anything else. even a smiley face. yes I know certain letters denote certain specific constants but those are just variables I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure they do that just to make them equations look scarier.
and no I don't want to hear any 'ohhhhh but my smiley faces will look rlly inconsistent' SIR DO YOUR SQUIGGLES LOOK CONSISTENT TO YOU?? π€¨
