I like when Loki fics let that petulant and ridiculous side of him shine through. Let him be a whiny bitch who doesn't take reader's feelings into consideration, and then regrets it later. MCU fandom: frequently portrays Loki as picky and spoiled, wanting everything expensive and of good quality, complaining about anything less than comfy and rich.

Loki in the first Avengers movie: sits on a dirty floor in a basement/dungeon/whatever the fuck it was where Clint brought him. He's the only one we see doing that, btw.

In the wild west marvel AU Loki and Agatha are renowned con-people and criminals with some of the highest bounties. They're legally married but they're both gay af, as in they only like the opposite gender, (as opposed to og Loki that is bi, I think Agatha's still a lesbian tho, correct me if I'm wrong) they go around robbing banks and trains, pretending to be a sweet married couple, making up scenarios, and maybe eventually they kind of adopt a boy along the way.

I think a way to bring Loki's binding punishment into the MCU would be for that to be how he sees himself and his mental health. He imagines himself all alone, somewhere unreachable by others, a cave deep within the planet, and above him is a snake, maybe an extension of himself, dripping acidic venom not onto his eyes but his head, slowly degrading his brilliant mind. It's a symbol of how he's slowly losing the only thing he believes gives him value, one of his most prized possessions, and he's losing it all to self sabotage. Or maybe he's not so nuanced and the snake represents others, then again the chains originally made from the intestines of his own children could represent himself holding him back, his own flesh and blood. The lesson he needs to learn is that the snake will always be there, it's about managing the snake, holding a bowl to catch the venom, and it's not something you can do alone. He'll have bad days, days where Sigyn has to empty the bowl, days where he feels his mind melting further, but Sigyn will always come back.

I think in an Au where Loki survived Thanos, somehow, it would only worsen his Cotards syndrome. Cotards syndrome is the walking corpse syndrome, where a person believes that they are dead or in some state other than living. The way Loki presents in A1 is extremely sickly, and Tom Hiddleston himself stated that what Loki went through was akin to the seventh circle of hell when with Thanos, there's no doubt if fucked him up permanently, coupled with the fact that it is cannon he had eating problems during his time in the dungeons, as indicated by Frigga ordering him more soup as she can tell he isn't eating, as well as his suicidal behaviour/tendencies, recklessness with his own life, shown when he himself decided to awake Surtur in Ragnarok and his behaviour on Sakarr, it's all extremely telling of something like Cotards syndrome. It's practically cannon that he's always had body issues, dysphoria and dysmorphia, add on finding he's a frost giant and possibly having a slightly lower body temperature, like that of a corpse (person hc of mine when he met Nebula or Gamora while under Thanos he shook their hand and they specifically remember his hands being cold and clammy, like a dead body) AND him quite literally having SEVERAL near death experiences I think it's pretty safe to say he sees himself as some kind of walking dead man.

There's this Family Guy clip where peter wakes up with no arms and asks what happened to which the Dr. Holds out the book Farewell to Arms and says "this should explain everything" and Peter proceeds to explain the plot of the book in surprise before the Dr. corrects him but says "there's no way you've actually read that?!" And it reminds me of Thor and Loki so much, Thor definitely has obscure knowledge of extremely complicated topics and has read nowhere near as many books as Loki but could easily write an outstanding book report on all of them.

What do we think of Loki having OCD?

As a fan who personally has it (diagnosed), I don’t see anything in canon that strongly suggests it, but I also could easily imagine an in-character fanfic in which he does have it. He definitely has a brain that can go into overdrive and the ability to become obsessed with/fixated on something, and he doesn’t do well with feeling like he did the wrong thing or is the wrong sort of person.

More metaphorically, I can see parallels between his relationship with the Other in that deleted scene from Avengers—an invisible-to-others presence talking in your head and trying to make you do things and causing you pain—and the experience of having intrusive thoughts.

I have ocd too, and I agree with the parallels with The Other. Often when I read fanfics about Loki still having some sort of mental connection with Thanos / The Other via aftereffects of the mind stone, it feels like reading Loki experience intrusive thoughts in the sense that these thoughts cause him distress and make him think that he's not a good person, but these thoughts aren't really his own.

In canon, mayyybe we could see his hand-picking fidgeting as a compulsion? Skin-picking is sometimes seen in ocd, but again this would only work through diving deeper into his thoughts behind this through fanfic, because in canon he's mostly seen doing it as a sign of being nervous and doesn't have a problem controling it. The thing about compulsions is that someone with ocd will often do these repetitive actions for longer than they'd like to, but Loki seems to be able to regulate his hand-picking well.

Lil random, I kind of get Sigyn vibes from white lily cookie from cookie run kingdom TvT very random I know! But just something I noticed, it's kind of changed my mental picture of her. I've always seen her as a sunkissed beauty with wavy-curly dirty blonde hair, highlighted naturally by centuries in the sun, tanned skin, prevalent freckles, and crystal blue eyes. Like she never sun burns and only gets more tan radiant.

These ads are actually really predatory and incredibly isolating for people. I haven’t gotten a lot, but the ones I’ve seen are creepy as all hell, encouraging people to recreate mutuals as chatbots because they can reply faster. And as someone who’s been down that rabbit hole before, using c.ai to “talk” to characters, I can tell you how draining it really is on your mental health. Someone’s gotta help stop this. Someone’s gotta help keep others from getting hurt.
