Quasar

Yay backstory time! So Taru in this AU, who I will refer to simply as "Quasar" because that's what I do unless I'm writing and have to write Taru, is a being of destruction and life (because quasars be like that). Unfortunately they don't have cool hyper powerful "jets" shooting out matter coming from them like quasars do, but their eldritch form does have cool spikes and they might be able to activate a black hole and then maybe they would get cool shoot out matter jets then.

Anyway, Quasar grew up around a few other otherworldly beings and everybody kind of sucked, so they ended up not exactly the best. Anger was building up slowly in the being of destruction (which is the last creature you want to upset) and eventually Quasar snapped and up destroying most of them, with the survivors becoming extremely injured. One of the survivors with the least injuries, a power hungry cat named "Chapalu", used a spell to trap Quasar within an artifact of sorts. She was hoping to be able to steal their power by trapping them, while also getting rid of them, but that didn't work and instead a surge of energy shot out when they were sealed inside and the artifact was gone.

While inside the artifact, Quasar was awake, floating in an empty void with no way out. They were in there for thousands of years and only had themself for company, so they're a bit insane.

Released

This takes place during the time Flowey had the power to reset, load and save. So, like usual, Flowey reset and hey look a new fun value! He happened to find a strange looking thing (the artifact) and since he was bored and had nothing better to do, he played around with it until he got it open, releasing Quasar.

Being the first person they have seen in thousands of years, they immediately decide they will now cling to this flower and annoy the hell out of him (at least immediately after their introduction). And so, now Flowey essentially has cursed his world, for even if he resets, he is still stuck with them. Even though other fun values are being loaded, there is basically an additional value attached to it forever now.

The artifact didn't disappear though and Quasar is basically tied to it now because the kind of magic used to create it requires another to take their place for them to be freed or they have to find a way to destroy it with their limited magic (as the rest is stuck sealed in the artifact). They think about how to escape all the time, but don't think anyone in the Undeground is strong enough to be able to be sealed away in the artifact in their place and they don't feel like trying to seal Flowey away in their place either. He's fun to be around. So in the meantime, they will just hide how much being trapped bothers them or the fact that they're even tied to it at all.

While this being of chaos is very annoying and for some reason only annoys him, they do also help Flowey with his plans and he can't deny that they're useful to have around and as time goes on they're even amusing and fun to be around. They are rather unpredictable, something he both appreciates and dislikes. It makes them stand out from the characters of this game, which also makes it harder to believe everything is a game.

Flowey has tried manipulating them, but they can see through his lies and are basically unaffected and become more annoying when he tries.

Evil Duo

After knowing each other for a while, they have essentially become an unstoppable duo of chaos. On occasion they spend time together doing things other than scheming, like playing chess and other board games and having picnics and seeing how long they can go insulting the other until they have no more sassy comments left to make.

Also Quasar does indeed only annoy the hell out of Flowey. They flat out ignore everyone else.

The two are either completely oblivious or in denial (Flowey is more likely to just be in denial) when they start getting feelings (tm). Evil qpr happening where everybody but you knows what's going on.

Extra (don't know where else to put these)

Quasar will probably blow up Frisk if they come after the whole Omega Flowey fight thing since Flowey was badly injured. If they don't come back, Quasar will just have to find the human and blow them up on the surface instead. (Still figuring out what UT ending I wanna go with)

Flowey has tried to get Quasar to find where Asgore is keeping the human souls, but they're a being of destruction not knowledge. They have also mentioned that stealing the souls when there's seven of them would be a better idea than just stealing six.

Quasar is helping Flowey with his plan because they have a theory that the power of the souls might be able to destroy the artifact, if the souls really are as strong and magical as they're made out to be. They will play by this world's rules until they have all of their power back. Of course, they're also helping him because they find him amusing and cute (later on they do at least). ​

Has six petals instead of the typical five, has a face, sapient, can move around by burrowing, has magic, malleable face/features.

​Eyes are pitch black. His pupils are white. He can shift to having white pupils at will, but sometimes his emotions also cause him to have them.

​His petals are soft

​Can summon vines whenever

​Uses vines as hands sort of, uses them to grab and hold things and occasionally to restrain and murder people (he usually uses his pellets for that, though).

​Can sense through the ground. Like... he can tell where people are on ground if he focuses on his roots in the earth.

​Can play musical instruments, likes playing guitar the most.

​Scaring the shit out of passers-by is his favourite hobby.

Burned Alphys's nsfw books in many resets. Since he doesn't have fire magic anymore, he somehow got his vines on a flamethrower.

Immune to fire.

​Can practically win at any game. Will specifically beat ass in chess.

​Can successfully gamble (years of save/load and reset practice).

​Draws with charcoal

​Dislikes flower pots and will attack you if you try to put him in one.

And some Flaru-specific ones for Flowey because why not. I guess they're not really headcanons since they only happen in stories where I/Taru exist and am in a relationship with Flowey, so they're AU canons, but uh, here you go anyway (because where else am I gonna put this):

I've thinking about writing thisbout for a while and I was originally going to draw this stuff but nah, too much work. I did draw the little divider things here for this because I thought it would be fun!
