"it's spooky and creepy" and "there's circumstantial evidence (that requires several leaps of logic, mind you) to believe it's done something fucked up" are simply not good enough evidence in a game where it is literally shown multiple times that characters being interpreted as creepy and scary and having done something weird/bad 1. does not reflect the entirety of their personhood 2. hurts them immensely when other people treat them as such and 3. might not even reflect literally anything about who they are. it's almost like the game has themes in this regard or something..........

it's not great that every nation in the world seems to believe that if they kill enough civilians, the enemy will give up, even though the deaths of their own civilians would simply make them fight harder
