Lessons will be provided in English, as I do not speak any other languages fluently.
If you would like more details, or to fill out my interest check form, please submit all responses here
Thank you all so much! I'm going for my disability and have no income right now while I go for my disability so I want to see if I can drum up some interest for this before going all in on it.
[College zoom classes, feat. baby A-Ling]
Jiang Cheng | Mo Dao Zu Shi Modern AU 11-05-2021
[#jiangcheng college student, zoom]
what if Jiang Cheng was in our beautiful time of despair and has to do online classes in college too, but he's also taking care of Jin Ling?
Cameras are required and soon Jiang Cheng becomes known in his class to be "the pretty jiujiu with his sunshine toddler". Teachers let him be, as he never causes actual distraction from the class and little a-ling is not disturbing when he needs to talk. (secretly some also enjoy seeing little a-ling smiling face, a nice change from dying college students).
Sometimes they can see the top of a head quickly getting to jc, only for something to be shown to him (often drawings) and every time jc's expression softens a bit. they can see him reply to a-ling and when they can see the toddler's face, each time his smile is even brighter.
other times jl is sitting in his lap, seemingly following the class too (or rather looking at the people on the screen and the funny slides). by time he'll be eating or simply drawing as jc takes notes on the side.
They have rarely seen jc needing to calm a crying jl and teachers usually let it slip when he closes his camera, only to see it turn on again later to see jl clinging to a tired-looking jc.
when they are separated in little groups to do work and everything is done, some will sometimes ask if a-ling is close, and the toddler is always happy to babble with them. jc looks always softens when jl is here too, sometimes helping him in his babbling.
jc and a-ling quickly become a known duo that many wish to work with just so they can have a little break (and also give jc a little break as they entertain a-ling for a little while). The funniest part was once when a-ling decided to show his drawing to the class (jc trying to shush him looking rather amused) and their teacher decided to comment on the nice drawing, only to realise they did so in the middle of the class (a-ling was really happy that he received a compliment from the person on the screen his jiujiu kept listening to every week).

Hey, I have room in both of my ONLINE natural history classes for this week! You don't have to be enrolled at either of these community colleges; the classes are open to anyone who wants to take them, even if you have no previous experience, and there are no prerequisites. Here's what's on tap:
Pacific Northwest Geology (One Day Class)
What are you standing on? The Pacific Northwest is full of geological history of all sorts, from volcanoes to floods to ancient islands from far off in the ocean. Learn about some of the forces that created our region’s landforms, and resources to go exploring on your own! (Has some material overlap with the Ecoregions of Oregon class.)
Tuesday, February 28, 6:00pm – 7:30pm PST, Tacoma Community College, ONLINE – Register here
Foraging in the Pacific Northwest (One Day Class)
The Pacific Northwest is plentiful with wild edible plants and fungi. Learn the basics of identifying common edible flowers and plants, some even found in your backyard! Identify their poisonous look-alikes, and learn ways to prepare what you collect in your own kitchen. Please note there is some crossover material with the mushroom hunting class.
Wednesday, March 1, 6:00pm – 8:30pm PST, Mt. Hood Community College, ONLINE – Register here

Focus is Wack when you have ADHD, I can be doing nothing but trying to follow the lesson and I'll still find a way to get distracted
My french teacher got passive-agressive with me for not knowing what is happening during class Ever and I'm over there just sitting like
You know, as much as covid sucks I gotta admit I love working from home now that I’m medicated and in therapy because the whole stress of getting ready in the morning, packing your things (and forgetting half of it even though you tried really hard not to) missing the bus, arriving late to class, and the self-hatred it generates is just....gone.
I’ve always HATED mornings because of the stress. I was always slow to eat breakfast (it still takes me 1-2 hours) never had my things in order, my dirty clothes were mixed with clean in my closet, I forgot to brush my teeth or skipped because I was running late.
Working from home means I can take my time. My mornings are so calm and peaceful. I eat breakfast with my partner and cuddle in the couch and still have time to get ready for zoom lectures, or if I’m home studying I can just chill in my pajamas until noon. It’s been a great relief and made me realize that I want to be able to work from home in the future even when the pandemic is over.
I’m hoping distance learning/work will become more normalized and perhaps added as a disabilty accomodation at university.
My sister: ...Why do you mute the audio of the ASL homework videos that you make?
Me: Well you aren’t supposed to be voicing anything when you sign and-
My sister: but you don’t talk at all in them??
Me: Yeah but sometimes I make weird sounds accidentally and I don’t want them included because I’d feel embarrassed if my professor heard...
My sister: Annie... isn’t your ASL professor Deaf??
Me: *realizes*
Me: oh my god OH MY GOD IM AN IDIOT
