This thing is my BEST FRIEND. It converts your tasks into percentages! You can add sub-tasks forever if you want to (with different colors and icons!)
And it helps a lot to keep track on your progress bc you feel a sense of completion when you see how far you've got in your task! There are various other functionalities to it, some are paid, but you can use it forever without paying a cent and it won't bother you!
hello Tumblr. I was recently diagnosed with inattentive ADHD. I have a lot of overdue assignments. I need evil ADHD study advice. pomodoro does not work for me. I physically cannot lock in for multiple hours straight. any advice is appreciated
so im on the maximum safely prescribable dose of Concerta but i feel like its not enough. any of my fellow extreme adhders got tips? should i talk to my doc abt adding on a non stimulant medication? i accidentally took a single 5mg ritalin at the same time as my 72mg of concerta the other day (mixed it up with one of my citaloprams) and had such a perfectly medicated morning but i know theres a reason 72mg is the max dose esp considering im not particularly large (~150lb)
ive never been on anything but concerta and ritalin for adhd (got medicated when i was 6, concerta was the first one i tried bc it was the one both my parents were on, genetics worked out that it was also good for me) so im a little scared of asking my doc to mix it up

So Iâve been in uni for likeâŚ.*squints at calendar* almost 5 years, (yikes) and in that time Iâve learned the value of failing.
More specificly I failed a lot of tests, handed in a bunch of assignments late and what I learned from these experiences is that failing an examâŚor several of them, is not the end of the world and perhaps more importantly not the end of your plans for the future. I was convinced at several points during these years that because I failed an exam or even a whole course, it would be the end of my academic future and possibly career. I never thought Iâd ever graduate but here I am five years later with a bachelorâs degree and now on my way to a masterâs.
Failing doesnât mean you have to quit what youâre doing or give up on your dreams.
It just means you have to get up and try again and if itâs one thing people with ADHD are good at itâs trying. Weâre always trying to do better, improve our lives, and as long as you keep trying youâve never truly failed.
what strain of autism or ADHD or AuDHD is it that allows you to make intense eye contact if the person you're in conversation with is the one talking, and all you are doing is taking in the information? but the moment it's your turn to talk, you couldn't keep looking directly into that other person's eyes while speaking if there was prize money and free pizza on the line. because it's like they're psychically shout-casting their every micro-reaction to what you're saying in real time, and it's overwhelming and makes it impossible to keep a coherent train of thought, so you have to look around, up, down, left, right, everywhere else, and you aren't even seeing any of it, it's just background static for your thoughts to cling to? and you HAVE to?
what is that? because normally when my neurodivergent friends talk about hating eye contact they don't have the "i can do it if i'm listening" hack that my particular whatever seems to have, but in the moments i can't do it, i really really really can't do it
does anyone have any useful/practical advice on beating out writing-related executive dysfunction?
