Hey, all! So this month's online study group for The Everyday Naturalist was a great success! We had plenty of thought-provoking discussions, and people came prepared with some really good questions, too. I appreciated the opportunity to see what I wrote through other people's eyes, and get others' perspectives on some wide-ranging topics that the intro and first chapter of the book inspired.
I now have registration pages for all the remaining monthly sessions for this year; you can access them at https://www.eventbrite.com/o/rebecca-lexa-naturalist-66370291503 . Each one concerns a chapter of the book; the next one on March 4 is about the second chapter, which dives into the history of how western science has tried to organize living beings, going all the way back to Greek philosophers. There are some great ideas....and some regrettable ones. I'm looking forward to some entertaining discussions!
Fuck it, I've decided that history is important to learn about, even if I suck at it and should be kissing girls instead.
I'm bringing my A game to this class out of spite. I'll update you all on my grade when the semester ends in about 4 weeks.
officially deleted tumblr off my phone (this is from my laptop btw), hadn't realized that i scroll this much😂 previous bad week has kinda bled into this one, i guess. i have at least four more of those 2 hour video lectures to finish, and i was supposed to be done with them today, but now i have no idea how i am going to do that. really tired right now,i really can't wait for jee to be over, yet i'm still so underprepared. hope this week gets better from tomorrow.
