Dear Rorybug, this morning, I introduced my new friends to the other toys and told the story of our adventure. Everyone was excited to hear all of the things I got to do. Hammerhead was green with envy about the trip to the aquarium, and I know Maco will be too. I think zombie cat and baby voodoo are already quick friends. Our new friends are making plans for our first “Bucket Gras” so they can show everyone how they play New Orleans style. I think Anubis wants to join in the fun, but he’s pestering grandma right now. I think he’s been really lonely this week. I’m going to go hang out with the guys now. I didn’t realize how much I missed everyone. It was a great trip, but I’m glad to be gone. Dear Rorybug, we made it back to Oklahoma!!! It’s been a very long trip, or so they tell me. I slept for a lot of it. Tonight we will hang out with Uncle Brenden and Auntie Nick Nack before we gone home tomorrow. I think everyone is looking forward to sleeping in their own bed. I’m ready to catch up with everyone at home and watch some Shark Week DVD’s with Maco and Hammerhead. I can’t wait to see you!!! Dear Rorybug, hi baby girl! It’s grandma. I caught a pic of Bob sleeping. This trip really wore him out. Having never ventured very far from home, he was excited to see and do so many things. He made some new friends, but can’t wait to get home to you, and to tell all of his other toy friends about his adventure. He is also bringing some new friends home. I’m sure he will help them adjust from New Orleans life to small town Oklahoma life. We are currently in Arkansas and will be at Gma’s this afternoon. Dear Rorybug, we made a quick stop in Mississippi to grab a geocache for that state and for a quick break. It was cool finding a cache on this little train. We will be on the road for awhile now. Dear Rorybug, in spite of the rain making an appearance a few times, we had an amazing day with brilliant music and exceptional food. Getting to hear so much jazz and blues perdormed live by such talented musicians was one of the greatest experiences ever! Then to top it off by going to the number one rates restaurant in New Orleans, the human tastebuds danced in delight. To see each of your uncles in their elements today, Jeremiah at the festival, and Tristan at Herbsaint, it was worth being here. One more day of fun and then we are heading home. Dear Rorybug, the other part of today’s adventure was at the Audoban Aquarium. They have some very impressive sea life sculptures made from the trash that is doing harm to our oceans. You can see just how big they are as I’m inside the mouth of the shark sculpture. Grandma has other pictures from her camera that will be up on her Crossing Nature Facebook page later on. I can’t wait to share with Hammerhead and Maco that I took pics with their cousin the Sandbar Shark. They’re going to be soooo jealous. Playing with the sea otter was a BLAST! Truly a wonderful experience and one I can’t wait to take with you! Dear Rorybug, oh the sights, the sounds, the smells! I am so excited to be sharing this trip with your uncles. @charismatic_cook is engrossed with the cuisine and @band_for_the_cross with the street jazz musicians. I got to take a pic with A statue of one of uncle Miah’s heroes, Al Hirt. Now we are at the Gumbo Shop. I can’t pronounce anything on the menu, but it sure smells good. When you’re old enough for stuff other than squishy, you have to make your grandparents bring you here.
